My first online sessions of my Low Tox Living Course are happening this March!

This is essentially my test run of all my material in an online format. It has worked well so far at my face to face workshops, but this is a chance to roll it out to a wider audience. If you would like to be in my first cohort then I would LOVE to hear from you!

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about living a life with less chemicals. I talk a lot to my clients about how important it is that the TERRAIN of the body is good. If it is not, then weeds will grow, we will not heal and thrive.

The many thousands of chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis are slowly destroying that inner terrain. At which point, take your pick of which health issues may results... hormonal, digestive, autoimmune, neurological, developmental... But the root cause of any named condition, will lie in the terrain in which it has developed.

In the course, I cover key areas of daily exposure to toxins over which we have the most control...

Food
Water (filtering options discussed)
Cleaning and home products
Skincare and personal care
Sun cream
Hair care
Fragrances
Mattresses, bedding, furniture
Cookware
Plastics
Electromagnetic sources

The classes will run via zoom on Monday evenings 7pm - 8pm
6th March
13th March
20th March
27th March

Recordings will be available if you are unable to listen live. There will be time for Q&A and an optional 45 minute one to one session with me on completion for all participants to focus on personal concerns.

This is a one time offer of £55 - a 50% discount on the future price

This initial intake will be limited to 20 places.

Please contact me to book your place - [email protected] or send me a message via FB

I have only just discovered this quote, and am pleased to have done so. It helps affirm the path my therapy has taken over the last few years. I have moved away from pure nutrition and supplement advice (though this is still a big part of my early appointments with clients). I now incorporate "energy medicine" as an integral part of my consultations in the form of Bioresonance.

Bioresonance is the use of frequency to both assess and support the body. I have found it to be revolutionary, both personally and professionally. I use it in every consultation with every client to help identify main issues and guide a strategy forward.

Embrace winter with these daily practices for a healthy mind, body and spirit…
- Get outside as much as possible during the day, especially if the sun comes out. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a recognised condition – a type of depression caused by lack of sunlight and changes to the body’s circadian rhythm. Getting as much exposure to real daylight as possible can be so helpful.
- Prioritise sleep. Go to bed earlier and, if possible, lie in later. Don’t feel guilty about this. Sleep is a time for the body to regenerate and renew. We need so much energy during winter to support a healthy immune response. One word of warning – please flick your mobile phone onto flight mode at night. So many people sleep next to their phones. The wi-fi, Bluetooth and mobile data signals your phone emits interfere strongly with deep restorative sleep. It will still work as an alarm clock in flight mode.
- Eat nourishing food. Cooked food is better than raw in winter. It requires less energy to digest and provides the body with warmth and easy to assimilate nutrients. Soups, stews, curries are all perfect.
- Drink plenty. Good hydration is important for kidney health. In Chinese Medicine the kidneys are the primary source of vitality, energy and inner heat. Warm or room temperature drinks are best.
- Make time to reflect, breathe, meditate. Nourish your inner spirit to generate more strength and resilience for the cold months ahead.
- I use essential oils in my home for both practical applications and also their mood lifting and immune boosting properties. Diffusing citrus oils like lemon and orange with spicy oils such as clove or cinnamon is an especially good combination for positive mood and boosting immunity.
- I would also recommend a few key supplements. In an ideal world, we would obtain all our nutrients from good healthy food. I'm not sure that's entirely possible these days however as food is less nutrient dense than it once was and life is ever more demanding of our energy and mental resilience. So a good multivitamin with some extra vitamin D, vitamin C, and zinc is a great place to start in boosting your reserves.

New Groundbreaking Clinical Results on Modified Citrus Pectin in Prostate Cancer 17/11/2022

Modified Citrus Pectin is a pretty amazing supplement. More research emerges all the time on its benefits.
I've started using it recently personally and with clients - mainly for detox purposes - binding metals, moulds and environmental chemicals in the body.
It works by blocking the protein galectin 3. This is naturally produced by the body, but if levels rise out of control, due to factors such as illness, injury or normal aging, then a cascade of inflammation ensues.
MCP can bind to galectin 3 and halt this inflammation. So, it is both detoxing and anti-inflammatory - we definitely need more of both of those processes in modern life!
It is made via a process involving the peel of citrus fruits.
Definitely a supplement to watch out for!

I still have 2 spaces remaining on my upcoming Low Tox Living workshop on Saturday 19th November at Odyssey Clinic, Leamington Spa.

This is perfect for anyone wanting to make healthy changes in their lives by reducing exposure to synthetic chemicals, but not sure exactly where to start. Or you may have already made a start and want to take it a step further.

I will give lots of practical information on how to live a life with less toxins, including what to avoid, better brands, and two make and take sessions to show you how easy it is to make your own organic and effective cleaning and skincare products.

Reducing your chemical exposure is so important for supporting long term better health and for directly helping to overcome specific health issues. Synthetic chemicals have been linked to everything from cancer to PMS, eczema to IBS, autoimmune disease to headaches... and so much more!

This trio of essential oils is great for allergies and calming an acute allergic reaction.
My daughter had one last night. Suddenly her lips swelled and throat and chest tightened up. I'm still not sure of the exact cause. I applied one drop of each oil on the sole of each of her feet. Then I mixed a further drop of each oil with carrier oil and applied along her spine. I put a drop of each oil in a glass of water with some powdered vit c. She sipped a bit of that.
Throughout I also treated her with some immune and histamine calming Bioresonance frequencies. And I did my very best to keep her calm...stress hormones stimulate histamine.
It took 30 mins for symptoms to settle down.
I love my essential oil tool kit for these acute situations. I have lots in my collection, but I would recommend Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint as a great place to start for anyone interested in natural remedies.

I run one to one or small group workshops to teach how to use essential oils therapeutically. Please get in touch if interested.

Wild Garlic picking this easter! My holiday souvenir this year was 2 bags full of this amazing herb.

Also known as "bear garlic" (bears were said to eat this in the spring to regain their strength after a long winter), wild garlic is high in vitamin C and great for the immune system. It has powerful antimicrobial properties against bacteria, viruses and parasites.

There are lots of old remedies involving wild garlic, including putting a leaf in the soles of shoes or socks to boost the immune system!

Slightly less alternative though is to eat it! The leaves can be enjoyed raw in salads, or cooked into omelette or soup or stew. I sauteed a handful last night in butter and lemon juice. And today I am making a large batch of pesto. More pics to come when that is done.

This week it was reported that microplastics have been found in people. The blood of 22 volunteers was analysed and various plastics were discovered. The fate of these particles in the body was not analysed, though in previous studies microplastics have been found in organs, the gut, the umbilical cord of babies! One huge impact in the body is on hormones, as these plastics can act like very strong hormones sending confusing messages.

Total avoidance of plastics is hard. Most food comes in plastic packaging, even organic food. There are however some simple things we can do to at least reduce plastic exposure via inhalation or ingestion or topical absorption:

- Do not drink from disposable plastic water bottles.
- Never heat food in any plastic container.
- If storing food, best use glass or stainless steel containers, or at least only put thoroughly cooled food in the plastic container.
- Do not drink hot drinks out of single use cups. Be especially vigilant to never sip the drink through the plastic lid.
- Do not wrap food in clingfilm.
- Do not eat or drink out of polystyrene.
- Opt for organic make up and skincare. Many regular brands contain phthalates - chemical plasticisers that make the product adhere to the skin, lips, nails. Phthalates are commonly seen on the label as "fragrance or parfum". Avoid. Also avoid products advertised with microbeads - used for exfoliating.

Another reason, in addition to the toxic ingredients list, not to use these brands... Disappointing to see Ecover here. They are better than many brands but definitely not perfect.

5 Minute Gluten Free Granola

This tastes so much better than the over sugared shop bought brands. Even the "healthy" brands contain too much sugar I think.

I made this with zero fuss this morning. 5 mins prep and 10mins to bake.

In a mini food processor blitz briefly 2 handfuls of mixed nuts (any varieties), 1 handful of pumpkin seeds and 6 dried apricots or dates or equivalent portion of raisins.

In a pan, melt 1 dessertspoon of either butter or coconut oil and 1 dessertspoon of honey or maple syrup. Take off the heat and stir through the nut mix plus an extra 2 handfuls of gluten free rolled oats.

Spread the mix on a baking tray and bake at 180c for 8 to 10 mins.

Enjoy simply with milk, or with extra chopped fruit, berries, yoghurt, protein powder, chia seeds, ground flaxseeds...

This makes 2 - 3 portions. Double up the recipe for more. It keeps well in a sealed container. I use a large jar.
