What lies inside The Smile Gate?
A smile can be more than an expression. A tooth can carry meaning through memory and experience. Breath can become a moment of presence. Voice and sound can shape how we express who we are.
These are some of the reflective themes Marc Mortiboys explores throughout The Smile Gate.
Not as literal medical claims, but as symbolism, lived experience and questions about the deeper human journey behind the mouth and smile.

THE GATE IS OPEN 🚪✨
For over forty years, I have spent my life looking into people’s mouths.
But somewhere along that extraordinary journey, I began to see something far greater than teeth.
I began to see humanity.
Our fears. Our suffering. Our courage. Our extraordinary capacity to heal, transform and awaken.
My journey has taken me from dental surgeries to ancient jungles, from encounters with death to profound discoveries about life.
And somewhere between science and mystery, a story was born.
THE SMILE GATE.
A novel that blends adventure, ancient wisdom, mystery and the extraordinary possibilities of being human.
I did not write this book simply to entertain you.
I wrote it to invite you to question, to feel, to remember… and perhaps to discover something extraordinary within yourself.
And today, at exactly 10:10 on 10 October 2026, something very special happens.
THE GATE IS OPEN.
The book is now yours to discover.
And perhaps, just perhaps…
The greatest journey you’ll ever take is the one that leads you back to yourself.
Welcome to The Smile Gate.
Remember my name, Marc Mortiboys.
And I invite you to step through. 💜

A tooth is never just a tooth.
That idea sits at the heart of why Marc Mortiboys wrote The Smile Gate.
After more than 40 years in dentistry, Marc kept returning to the deeper questions behind the mouth and smile: memory, emotion, identity, lived experience and the meaning we attach to them over time.
The Smile Gate grew from those observations and reflections.
Not as a medical claim, but as an invitation to look at something familiar from a different perspective.
Sometimes a smile carries more of our story than we realise.
📖 Discover the story behind The Smile Gate.
Your smile is more than something the world sees.
It may carry memory, emotion, identity and parts of your story you have never considered before.
After more than 40 years in holistic dentistry, those deeper questions became *The Smile Gate*.
This book doesn’t offer simple answers. It invites you to pause, look beneath the surface and discover what may lie beyond your own smile.
The gate is open. 🌿
