After months of increased UV exposure, heat, SPF and changes to our usual routines, the effects of summer can begin to show dehydration, congestion, uneven tone, pigmentation and changes in texture.

As we move into autumn, temperatures fall, humidity changes and eventually the heating comes back on. Our skin has to adapt too, often increasing its need for hydration and barrier support.

September also marks the beginning of a period where we can start thinking about more targeted skin treatments. With less intense sun exposure, autumn and winter lend themselves particularly well to treatment plans focused on renewal, resurfacing, hydration and addressing concerns accumulated over summer.

Meet Risha.

If you’ve been to The Face Lab Cotswolds, there’s a very good chance you already know this face.

Risha really is our girl who can do it all, but skin, waxing and builder gel nails are where she truly shines. From results driven facials and beautiful BIAB sets to waxing, massage, pedicures and everything in between, she’s become such a trusted pair of hands for so many of our clients.

But Risha’s story with The Face Lab actually started long before the Cotswolds salon.

Three years ago, Risha and I worked together in a café. Fast forward to last year and she joined me at The Face Lab part time because I needed some help, before then taking the leap with me when we opened our Cotswolds salon in March, stepping into her role as Salon Manager.

Going from working café shifts together to now running a salon alongside each other is one of those little full circle moments that I don’t think either of us could have predicted🤍

She’s been such a huge part of the growth of The Face Lab and I genuinely couldn’t imagine the Cotswolds salon without her now.
