My final market of 2025 is this Saturday at Meanwood Market, from 10am to 3pm.

I’ll be there with a stall full of my usual goodies and plenty of Christmas gift ideas. There’s all sorts to choose from this year. Gift baskets, little wooden crates of soap, face oils, body butters, scrubs, and lots of smaller bits if you’re after something thoughtful without going overboard. Everything is handmade and easy to mix and match.

If you’re trying to shop small and support local makers this Christmas, markets are such a lovely way to do it. You get to meet the people behind the products and find gifts that actually feel personal.

This will be the last chance to see everything in person before I take a short break and markets start again in February 2026. My website will still be open in the meantime.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported me this year. Whether you’ve bought something, shared a post, stopped for a sniff of the soaps, or just had a chat. It genuinely means the world 🫶🏻✨️

And just like that, we’re at my final markets of 2025.
It’s been a year full of early mornings, windy gazebos, downpours and gorgeous sunshine, brilliant chats, and the loveliest customers and fellow traders. I’m really grateful for every single moment.

You can find me at my last few festive events here:

✨ Saturday 6th December – Meanwood Festive Market
✨ Sunday 7th December – Chapel Allerton Market
✨ Saturday 13th December – Morley Makers Market
✨ Saturday 20th December – Meanwood Market

The December markets are always my favourite, not just because they’re festive, but because they’re such a lovely reminder of how special our local community is. Independent makers, food stalls, artists, bakers and all the friendly faces that make these events feel like little neighbourhood celebrations.

If you’re out and about and fancy a wander, come along and support your local makers. Even a chat, a follow, or a browse means more than you know.

If you can't make it to a market, feel free to have a peek at my website.

Thank you for being part of my year it’s been a really good one. 🌿

All set up at Chapel Allerton Market today until 3pm.

The first little hint of Christmas has crept onto the stall in the form of gift baskets and crates filled with my handmade soaps and skincare. There’s something for every budget from simple stocking fillers to bigger pamper sets.

I’ve brought along my brand new face oils, plus fresh batches of lip balms and natural deodorant sticks for anyone needing a restock.

If you’re out and about in Chapel Allerton today, come and say hello and have a browse. Always lovely to see familiar faces (and meet new ones too).

Like many of us, my skin changed when I hit peri-menopause. It became drier, more sensitive, and seemed to lose that healthy glow overnight.

I wanted something natural, nourishing and with ingredients that would actually make a difference to my skin.

My Patchouli & Cedarwood Face Oil is a blend of deeply restorative plant oils designed to bring your skin back to life.

Squalane helps to hydrate and lock in moisture without clogging pores.
Apricot oil softens and smooths the skin, rich in vitamins A and E.
Sea buckthorn oil helps repair sun damage and restore radiance.
Rosehip oil supports elasticity and helps reduce fine lines.
Cedarwood and patchouli essential oils calm, balance and ground the skin.

It’s perfect for dry, mature, or tired skin, leaving it soft, radiant, and hydrated without feeling greasy.

Handmade in small batches, vegan friendly, and palm oil free.

Available now on my website and my upcoming markets.

Why I love Meanwood Market 🫶🏻

04/09/2025

Hi, it's me 👋🏻

Here’s the first Meanwood Market ‘Trader Takeover’ post from the lovely 💖

Hi, I’m Claire 👋 I’m the maker behind The Tru Soap Co., my little brand of natural soaps and skincare.

I’ve always loved making things — from sewing my own dresses as a teenager to experimenting with with different crafts — but soap making had been the thing I loved most. Back in 2019 I made my very first batch, and I was hooked. Now I create a whole range of skin-kind, earth-friendly soaps, body butters, deodorants and more, all made with natural ingredients and essential oils.

Meanwood Market has been a big part of my business for years — it’s where I’ve met so many of you, made friends with fellow traders, and built a little community I love coming back to month after month. 💚
