**GOOD HAIR IS EXPENSIVE.
FIXING CHEAP HAIR IS MORE EXPENSIVE.**
We know. Itâs a bold statement. đ
But letâs talk about what it actually means.
When you pay for a professional hair service, youâre not simply paying for a few hours in a salon chair.
Youâre paying for experience, education, professional products, quality materials, correct techniques andâmost importantlyâdecisions made with the health of your hair in mind.
A colour correction after an unsuccessful blonde transformation can take multiple appointments.
Poorly applied extensions may need to be removed, the natural hair assessed and treated, and an entirely new system fitted.
Overprocessed hair can take months to recover.
And suddenly, what looked like the cheaper option isnât so cheap anymore.
That doesnât mean that the most expensive stylist is automatically the best stylist.
It means you should choose your salon based on knowledge, transparency, consultation and trustânot price alone.
At Leeds Style Concept, this is also why we offer different stylist levels and different price points.
Master. Stylist. Junior. Apprentice.
Different levels of experience and different prices, but the same philosophy:
We would rather tell you âyour hair isnât ready for this yetâ than take your money and compromise your hair. đ¤
Because sometimes the most professional service we can offer is knowing when not to do something.
Invest in the result.
But most importantly, invest in the health of your hair.

Now the only question is⌠who are you booking with next? đ
10 things you NEED to know before your colour appointment đ
Ready? Take notes⌠this is important. đ
1. You donât need to know exactly what colour you want.
2. You donât need to know the name of the technique.
3. You donât need to know if you need balayage, babylights or highlights.
4. You donât need to understand toners.
5. You donât need to know which shade suits your skin tone.
6. You donât need to calculate how many sessions your transformation will take.
7. You donât need to know what products your hair needs.
8. You donât need to diagnose the condition of your hair.
9. You definitely donât need a degree in colour theory after three hours on TikTok. đ
10. And most importantly⌠you donât need to worry about any of it.
Thatâs our job. đ¤
This is exactly why we believe so strongly in consultations at Leeds Style Concept.
You bring your hair, your inspiration and your expectations.
Weâll assess your starting point, hair history, condition and lifestyle, then recommend the technique, colour and maintenance plan that actually makes sense for you.
Because you donât need to walk into a salon knowing all the answers.
You just need a stylist who knows which questions to ask. â¨

What actually happens during a Mini Keratin maintenance appointment?
This client came back to us after 11 weeks wearing her Mini Keratin Extensions.
And in approximately 4.5 hours, we completed the entire process:
125g of extensions removed.
Natural root colour refreshed.
Extensions washed and professionally treated.
Old keratin removed.
Every strand individually rebonded with fresh keratin.
Hair dried and prepared.
125g of extensions reapplied.
Final blend and styling.
All in one appointment.
How?
Teamwork.
While our extension specialist was removing, colouring and beginning the reapplication, her assistant was working simultaneously on preparing and rebonding the extension hair.
As soon as one section was ready, the specialist could start fitting it while the next section was being prepared.
Because we know that your time matters too.
Maintenance isnât simply about moving extensions back towards the root. Itâs our opportunity to remove everything, assess your natural hair and scalp, refresh the bonds, properly care for the extension hair and create a clean application again.
And when itâs done properly?
11 weeks of growth disappear, the bonds are tiny again, and the extensions look freshly fitted.
125g. Full maintenance. Root colour. Rebonding. Reapplication.
Approximately 4.5 hours, one team and one very happy client. đ¤

75g. 20 inches. Mini Keratin. And one little secret⌠đ¤Ť
Youâre not supposed to know theyâre extensions.
Mini Keratin Extensions are our No.1 extension speciality at Leeds Style Concept, and transformations like this are exactly why.
Our client came to us with fine, low-density hair that had been through quite a lot. So we didnât start by asking, âHow long do you want it?â
We started with a professional consultation.
We assessed her natural hair, discussed what it could safely support, chose the right length and amount of hair, matched the colour and created a personalised plan.
Then came transformation day.
First, we coloured her natural hair to create this gorgeous magenta shade.
Then we applied just 75g of 20-inch Mini Keratin Extensions, carefully distributed and customised to her natural density.
And this is the result.
Fuller. Longer. Beautifully blended. But most importantly, it still looks like her own hair.
Because good extensions shouldnât enter the room before you do.
Someone meeting her for the first time shouldnât be wondering where her natural hair ends and the extensions begin.
The only people who might know?
Those who knew what her hair looked like before. đ¤Ť
Thatâs what we love about Mini Keratin. Itâs not about adding the maximum amount of hair. Itâs about choosing the right amount, the right length and the right placement for the person wearing it.
Thinking about extensions? Your first step is a professional consultation with us.

Have you ever noticed how often a new chapter starts with the hair? â¨
Something changes.
A relationship ends.
A new career begins.
We become mothers.
We rediscover ourselves.
Or sometimes⌠we simply decide that the old version of us no longer feels right.
And suddenly we want to change our hair.
New colour. New length. A completely different look.
Maybe itâs not really about the hair.
Maybe itâs our way of saying:
âIâm ready for something new.â
As women, we give so much of our energy to everything and everyone around us that itâs easy to forget to protect some of it for ourselves.
Whatever chapter youâre in right now, donât lose that part of you.
Take care of her.
Invest in her.
Let her feel feminine, confident, powerful â whatever that means to you.
Sometimes changing your hair wonât change your life.
But it can be a beautiful way of reminding yourself that you are allowed to change. đ¤

Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy⌠but is anyone talking about your HAIR? đ
Weight-loss injections are everywhere right now.
And while everyone is talking about the kilos coming off, thereâs another conversation happening more and more often in our salon:
âWhy am I suddenly losing so much hair?â
Weâve seen clients become genuinely frightened by the amount of hair they start shedding during significant or rapid weight loss.
Medications such as Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Ozempic (semaglutide) and Wegovy (semaglutide) have changed the weight-loss conversation â but your hair doesnât exist separately from the rest of your body.
Rapid weight loss, eating significantly less, changes in nutrition and the physical stress your body experiences can all contribute to increased shedding.
So if youâre on a weight-loss journey and suddenly notice much more hair in your brush or shower, please donât just buy another shampoo and hope for the best.
Speak to your GP or prescribing clinician. Make sure your nutrition is adequate and ask whether your bloods or nutritional status need reviewing. Donât start taking random supplements simply because TikTok recommended them.
And tell your hairstylist too.
We canât treat a medical or nutritional cause of hair loss from the salon â and weâre not going to pretend that a treatment mask can do that.
What we can do is assess whatâs happening to the hair itself, minimise unnecessary chemical and mechanical stress, help protect fragile lengths, recommend appropriate professional care and adapt your colour, extensions or other services while your hair is going through this period.
Because losing weight and feeling amazing in your body is one thing.
But nobody wants the surprise of losing their hair along the way. đ¤
Save this post or send it to someone currently using Mounjaro, Ozempic or Wegovy â it might be a conversation they havenât had yet.
