A little heads up for anyone thinking ahead to September 👀🍂

This time of year is always a little quieter, which actually makes it a great time to order if you've got classroom plans bubbling away already ✨

I'll be closing the workshop for most of the summer holidays so I can spend some time with my family ☀️🤍

So if you're an early bird who likes having everything ready before September arrives in a whirlwind... now is probably the perfect time 🐦🍎

And as always, if there's something specific you'd like making, just send me a message 😊

In 2019 I left this peace lily on a sunny south facing windowsill while we went to Turkey for two weeks... and there was a heatwave in the uk😬☀️
The poor thing was absolutely scorched. It survived, but never flowered again.
Until today 🤍
Its first flower in seven years.
I know it's only a plant, but I think there's something quite lovely about being reminded that recovery doesn't always happen quickly. Sometimes things need a lot longer than we expect 🌱✨🧘🏻‍♀️

Honestly, I don't mind too much because it's been lovely seeing them being explored, counted, matched and played with 🥲

My business does seem a little quieter lately but the funny thing is, when the business is quieter I pick up more days in school... but then I'm so busy teaching that social media takes a back seat, which probably doesn't help the business 😅 A bit of a vicious circle really! 🫣🫠

I've been having a bit of a rethink of the mud kitchen in nursery lately 👀🌿

I've moved it, stripped lots of things back and gone for a much more simple setup. We only have 8 nursery children (sometimes joined by 6 Reception children too!) so less really can be more 🤍

I've been making these little log pots and natural resources ...

If you were putting together a woodland-themed mud kitchen pack, what would you include? 🌿🪵

So far I'm thinking:
✨ log pots
✨ mixing sticks
✨ wooden slices
✨ chunky branch pieces
✨ little prompt discs (scoop, pour, stir?)

What am I missing? 👀
