✈️ New airport security changes – what to expect

Many of you have been asking about the recent airport changes, so we thought we’d share a little about what you can expect when travelling.

Facial recognition & biometrics
Airports are introducing facial recognition and, in some cases, fingerprint scanning to help speed up your journey through security and boarding. It might feel a bit different at first, but it’s all designed to make things more efficient.

Why are there delays?
While you may have seen reports of delays, this is often down to passengers not reading instructions or feeling unsure about the new systems and panicking.

Our advice
Take a deep breath, follow the steps given by airport staff, and allow yourself a little extra time – you’ll be absolutely fine.

Don’t believe everything you see online
There’s a lot being shared on social media, but it doesn’t always reflect the reality.

From our experience
We travel regularly for both work and leisure, and we’ve yet to experience any real delays ourselves – the process is generally smooth when you follow the guidance.
