If you don’t know where to start with your skincare journey, here’s 6 skincare essentials you would want to invest in.
Step 1: Cleanser to remove any impurities, left over make up or creams that you might have used before going to sleep.
Step 2: Exfoliant, use this once or twice a week to remove dead cells. There’s 2 types of exfoliants- chemical and mechanical. Chemical exfoliant are made up of acid and enzymes to dissolve dead cells whilst mechanical exfoliants help to buff away the outer dead cell layer.
Step 3: Apply a skin serum to target any skin concerns such as ageing, wrinkles, acne or hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C helps to nourish the skin as well as combats signs ageing- (promotes collagen production in the skin) and hyperpigmentation. Salicylic acid and lactic acid help to fight acne.
Step 4: Eye serum or cream to target dark circle and puffiness
Step 5: Apply a moisturiser. Choose one which suits your skin type: dry, oily or combination.
