I remember when I first started my spray tanning journey. I couldn’t speak English, and communicating with you wasn’t easy. I had to rely on sign language and a lot of determination just to get through an appointment.
Sometimes when I watch videos of myself working, I can’t believe how much has changed. Not because of the tans I create, but because I spend the entire appointment talking, laughing, and connecting with you.
Running my own business has given me so much more than a career. It has pushed me outside my comfort zone, helped me build confidence, improve my communication skills, and grow as a person. Every challenge became a lesson, and every client interaction helped me become the person I am today.
Looking back, I realise that this journey was never just about spray tanning. It was about personal growth, resilience, and proving to myself that I was capable of far more than I ever imagined.
If you’re at the beginning of your journey and things feel difficult, keep going. One day you’ll look back and be amazed at how far you’ve come. 🤎
Brazilian Tape Spray Tan… maybe the next big tanning trend in the UK in 2027?✨
This technique is already popular in America, but honestly… I haven’t really seen anyone offering it in the UK yet. So of course I had to try it myself 😅
Over the years, I’ve had few girls asking to stay in their bikini during the spray tan because they wanted visible tan lines. The problem? Bikini straps move during the appointment, don’t stay perfectly in place and can ruin the final result.
So… I ordered Brazilian tape 🤙🤙🤙
A tape designed to stay perfectly on the skin during the tan and create those clean, aesthetic tan lines inspired by the Brazilian beach look ☀️
Today we are testing Brazilian Tape Spray Tan for the first time at Spray Tan Leicester… and honestly, I’m so excited.
Who knows… maybe me and my clients will start this trend in the UK first? 🇬🇧✨
I love bringing new ideas, techniques and worldwide tanning trends to my clients before they become popular. Because spray tanning is not only about colour it’s about confidence, feeling amazing and creating a whole vibe 🤎
Would YOU try Brazilian Tape Spray Tan? 👀
It’s Thursday… so here’s a little “spend the day with me” - reality check edition.
Being a full-time spray tan artist in the UK is not always as glamorous as it may look online. It’s a very seasonal industry, which is why I’m genuinely grateful for every single person who books with me, supports my business, recommends me, or even shares my work. 🤎
There were so many moments where giving up would’ve been easier. Long days, sacrifices, working when everyone else was resting… but I knew that if I didn’t push myself, neither me nor my business would be where we are today.
Some days are 20-hour days.
No proper breaks.
No time to eat.
No time to even sit down.
Some days are easier. Some days test me completely. But I know one thing for sure if I didn’t sacrifice so much over the years, neither me nor my business would be where we are today 💪💪💪
And honestly? I pay the price but I’m just incredibly thankful that I get to do something I truly love every day. ✨
3h Rinse time vs pale skin (48h after tan)
Over the years I’ve tested spray tan solutions from all around the world: UK, Australia, Canada and the US. Testing different formulas is honestly one of the best ways to keep learning and improving as a spray tan artist
When I test a solution, I pay attention to every detail. ➡️ Does the solution dry the skin and which ingredients may affect that?
➡️ Does it leave the skin hydrated and moisturised?
➡️ How does it react with leftover deodorant, skincare or sweat?
➡️ What does the final colour look like once fully developed? Does it pull yellow/orange or stay beautifully natural?
One thing I always pay attention to when testing spray tan solutions is whether the label claims are actually true… or just marketing
This is exactly why I love trying different solutions every single one teaches me something new about skin chemistry, ingredients and final results 🤎
Recently I’ve been testing the Signature Glow Rapid Rinse solutions: Violet Base and Clear Spray Tan Solution. Both are fragrance free and have a short, moisturising ingredient list, which I know many clients will appreciate, especially those with sensitive skin.
Very soon I’ll also be adding a clear, fragrance free solution to my menu for clients with sensitive skin or allergy tendencies 💪
Running a spray tan business can look glamorous from the outside. Beautiful tans, glowing clients, nice photos on Instagram. But the reality behind the scenes is very different.
Holding a spray tan gun and knowing the technique is only one small part of this industry. The real challenge is everything else that comes with it.
Slow seasons when bookings suddenly drop. Doubts about whether you are good enough. Changes in the industry. Rising costs and inflation. Trying to understand social media algorithms. Marketing your services. Managing finances. Investing in new courses and equipment while hoping it will all pay off.
This is the part nobody really talks about in the UK.
Every time I see someone selling a brand new spray tan machine, it honestly makes me sad. Not because they are selling equipment, but because it often means they gave up on a dream they once believed in.
Many people start with passion, but when they begin to compare themselves to others online, it becomes overwhelming. We see perfect photos, fully booked calendars, big success stories. What we do not see are the struggles behind them. The sleepless nights. The 18 hour days. The moments of doubt. The pressure.
The truth is that many of us go through exactly the same challenges.
That is why we want to create a space where spray tan artists can see the real side of this industry. Not only techniques and perfect results, but also the reality of being an entrepreneur. The ups and the downs. The lessons. The growth.
If you are a spray tan artist and you want more honest, real content about this industry, let us know you are here. Leave a comment, DM, a heart, or share this reel. Any small sign of support tells us that this kind of conversation is needed.
You are not alone in this journey. And sometimes hearing that can make a big difference. ✨

Professional tanning retail products are designed with skin health in mind. Unlike many drugstore products, they do not contain heavy mineral oil based ingredients that can create a barrier on the skin, affect tan fading, and leave the skin feeling coated rather than truly hydrated.
Professional formulas focus on hydration, skin nourishment, better fading results, helping your tan last longer and improving your skin condition 💪
Gloya spray tan solution is designed to give artists full control over the final result. You can completely customise the tan depending on the client’s undertone, skin type and the look they want to achieve.
The chocolate base can be used on its own as a universal solution for most skin undertones. You simply adjust the development time and the level of saturation according to the client’s skin type.
If you want to create a cooler looking tan rather than a golden glow, you can mix chocolate with ash or violet with ash. This allows you to achieve a deeper, richer and more neutral tone that works beautifully for clients who prefer a cooler finish.
For more mixing tips and advice, send a DM to .
🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽A Gloya branding course is also coming soon, so keep watching for updates.

I am one day behind because my English doesn’t work… so many words that I couldn’t pronunciation correctly but I force myself to recording voiceover anyway…
Before you start mixing any solution, ask yourself one simple question: why am I customising this tan?
Customising is not about making things more complicated. It’s about being intentional and achieving a better result for your client.
You can mix solutions to adjust the DHA level. You don’t need to stock every percentage from 6% to 20%. With just a few core strengths, you can strategically mix and create the exact level you need.
You can also customise to change the cosmetic bronzer base. This requires more knowledge and confidence, as it can easily become overwhelming. However, when done correctly, it allows you to control the final tone of the tan.
Through customisation, you can create warmer or cooler results, avoid unwanted orange tones, and match the solution much more accurately to your client’s skin tone.
Another option is enhancing your solution with bronzing drops to refine the finish even further.
But there is one rule you should never break. Do not mix products from different brands. You are not a chemist, and you don’t know how the ingredients will react with each other.
If adjusting the bronzer base feels too complex, keep it simple and choose a brown base solution. It is the most universal and reliable option.
Customising should always have a purpose. Not just for the sake of mixing, but to deliver a better, more professional result.
