TAKING CARE OF YOUR LIPS

Here are some DOs & DON’Ts of exposing your skin to the sun after having Lip/ Facial fillers.
DO…
* Try to stay out of the sun for at least a week after treatment- This allows your skin to properly heal & fully benefit from the treatment
* Wear a high SPF Sun Screen on your skin and Sun Protection Lip Balm
* Make up/ Fake Tan- wait 24 hours after your treatment, to allow injection sites to heal.

DON’T…
* Attempt to get a suntan if the filler treatment has left a bruise- Doing so could lead to long term darkening of the skin. It’s best to wait 2 weeks after Lip/Facial fillers treatment before looking to get a natural tan
* Use tanning beds at all. Tanning beds are not a good idea whether people have fillers or not
* Directly expose your treated skin/lips to the sun for more than 20 minutes. It’s important to keep the skin covered.

Hyperpigmentation is the overproduction of melanin (pigment). This can be caused by inflammation such as UV rays, acne, hormones, heat, picking at your skin, eczema, friction and certain products. ⁣
Hyperpigmentation can be stubborn (as some of this damage can be deeper into the dermis), so consistency & patience are critical.
There are some ingredients that can help speed up the process⁣. ⁣

🌱 Kojic Acid- a natural brightening ingredient. It’s often used for age spots, so it may work best for brown-coloured pigmentation from acne. (INTELLIBRIGHT SERUM)

I suffered severe anxiety & panic attacks about my skin,I literally would try anything to get rid of it. Some products would help for a while & the problem would just come back. 13 years I suffered, & I just accepted this was my skin.
Thank goodness for education & medical grade products!
I understand now why using anything other than medical grade products will just keep you in a vicious cycle of hope & despair.
I understand fully what acne is, the cause & how to treat it. I use every 6 weeks, @ skinpen_uk thereafter to work on texture.
It’s most certainly not an overnight fix, you need to be consistent, but if you do you will get the healthy skin you desire.
I still have redness, pores, texture and scarring, but that’s normal!
I use nothing but Alumiermd skin care, occasionally I have a “pamper night” where I use cosmetic brands, I know they do nothing for my skin in terms of physical change, however it’s nice to use them occasionally.
I wear AlumierMD tinted SPF daily,
I have regular clinical skin treatments every 6 weeks, like the beautiful radiant peel.
I have dry acne skin.
I do not/ have not used any medication from doctors for these results.
I did 3x radiant peels with vitamin A, 6 weeks apart, whilst using only AlumierMD home care:

Acne serum: only on areas needed.
Sheer hydration AM
I then introduced the glow peel, & alternated between a glow peel, & radiant peel,every 6-8 weeks using vitamin A.

Acne serum: only on areas needed.
Sheer hydration AM
Retinol 1x per week PM
These results are down to being consistent with AlumierMD products & AlumierMD peels.
