Dear friends and customers,
I am not usually known for posting about personal issues but as it is Hair related I thought I’d make an exception!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June and the biopsy results led us to believe that after a mastectomy and reconstruction, no further treatment would be needed. Unfortunately the results after surgery indicated to grade 3 instead of 2 with a microscopic cell in one of my 5 nodes removed so for belts and braces, chemotherapy was advised.

I have just had my second out of six treatments of chemotherapy!
Although life is more important and hair does grow back, mentally it is something else for us to deal with in the meantime.
I was blessed with having very thick hair and I opted for a cool cap treatment to try and prevent loss, but I have been losing multiple handfuls daily for the last 2 weeks.

I had about 6 inches taken off of the length last week and will have my length adjusted as necessary - mentally trying to prepare for the shave if the cool cap fails on me.

This has made me realise how difficult and expensive it can be for chemotherapy patients and I would like to try and help!

Whilst I would love to cut your hair for free, I still have wages and overheads to pay but I would really like to make the transition easier. Therefore I’d like to extend an offer to other chemotherapy patients who might like or need a change.

OFFER
For chemotherapy patients that would like their hair cropped short or shaved we will charge half price for a haircut -£10

For those like me who would like adjustments in the transition - we will charge full price for the first haircut and then the following adjustments (however many are needed) will be free.

Hi to all our lovely loyal clients.

The regulations change tomorrow but as the government have advised all businesses to update their COVID risk assessments……not a lot has changed!

We don’t want to put you at risk or us at risk of having to close the salon. Therefore we will retain our COVID safety measures for the time being!

For you, this means that we would prefer you to still wear masks. I hope you all understand that this is for both yours and our safety.
