A little bit of Nepal came to Leicestershire 🙏
From the foothills of the Himalaya to Thurlaston village hall.
Lots of lovely people came to experience Traditional Nepalese sound bowls and homemade cake at the end (rhubarb straight from the garden) on Sunday.
A grand way to end the week 🙏
Nepal is a truly magical place - check out
Sound of Himalaya - where I was taught by a real master of his craft.

Sunday is lovely time to reset for the week 😊
Why not finish the day with a sound bath.
Nepalese singing bowls help to activate those Alpha and Theta brainwaves leading to that meditative, dreamlike state.
We use traditional Nepalese handcrafted singing bowls and unique sound meditation bowls which combine to create not only a deep resonance but ideal frequencies to bring about a restful and meditative state.
Relax and have a chat, homemade cake and tea at the end 😊
Join us at Thurlaston Village Hall, LE9 7TE on Sunday 23rd August 6.30 - 8pm.
See the attached poster for further details.

Hatha Yoga with Paul
Traditional Hatha Yoga is an ancient branch of yoga focused on physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama).
It uses slow, steady movements to balance the body and mind.
Postures are adaptable for all and combine standing, balance, seated, prone or supine and twisting postures which help to strengthen the body and improve flexibility and coordination.
We also combine a series of breath work and finish with a guided meditation or sound bowls.
All are welcome - we have a welcoming and friendly group including beginners.
Please see the attached poster for details 😊

So what’s it all about?
Headstands, handstands and gymnastic flexibility - no.
Traditional Hatha Yoga focuses on breathwork, combined with a series of Asana (postures) and a period of meditation.
Longer slower postures using the breath to open the body and find focus - a kind of mindfulness in motion.
There are many benefits - Better sleep, reduced stress, improved balance and core strength, greater flexibility and relief from back pain.
It’s suitable for pretty much everyone.
You’ll start to find the simple things in life much easier - getting out of bed, putting your socks on etc.
A period of guided meditation at the end is of core value - Asana helps to quieten the mind and switch to the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system.
The all important period of stillness and meditation at the end takes it a step further and activates those Alpha and Theta waves in the brain (relaxed wakefulness- deep relaxation).
Come and give it a go - as a wise Yogi once said ‘We are all beginners’ - see the attached poster 🙏

I’ve travelled to the Himalayan foothills to find the true sound of Nepali sound bowls 🙏
Living on a farm and learning so much from these honest and humble people.
Who can say they only eat what they grow - believe me it’s truly wonderful.
I’ve also spent some special time with a master of his craft learning the true nature of sound meditation and healing.
Looking forward to sharing my experiences when I return
Namaste 🙏

Something new for the new year?
Both on its own and complimentary to many sports (great post run) Yoga suits all in various forms.
We teach a very traditional Hatha yoga - no fancy flows - as taught to me in Rishikesh - postures are very adaptable.
Breathwork all through the class including the meditation at the end.
Some wise words picked from a fellow yogi 😊
1. You don't have to be flexible to start. Yoga is about creating mobility, strength, and awareness over time.
Flexibility comes as a byproduct, not a requirement.
2. Progress is not linear. Some days you will feel open and strong, other days tight and tired. Both are part of the journey.
3. Your breath is the foundation. When you focus on the breath first, the poses will feel steadier, safer, and more intentional.
4. It is not about "nailing" the pose. The benefits come from showing up, being present, and moving with mindfulness, not forcing your body into shapes.
5. Consistency beats intensity. Fifteen minutes every day will transform you more than a single intense session.
In short relax and breathe - no competition- no comparison 🙏
