Had the most divine meal yesterday every single mouthful was delightful. I havenโt fine dined in a while so Iโve really pleased my palette with this pan-fried seabass, creamy pea tarragon and chorizo gnocchi served with samphire ๐คค

โFix Up Look Sharpโ was the motivation song behind these pics n vids yday also what was playing in the kitchen when I was cooking Sunday brunch.
Music is literally the one thing that can force me up out of bed when I cba or if Iโm having extreme PCOS symptoms on day 1 of my cycle. By this I mean agonising period cramps, pain in my actual ovaries, back ache, humongous swollen b***s that hurt to touch, bloatedness, headache, fatigue, irritability, short fuse and breakouts. Oh the joys of being a woman ๐๐ญ men donโt realise how easy they have it without a womb and all these crazy hormones which literally dictate our lives, mood and what we are physically able to do. Fortunately I managed to get a lot of rest in this weekend which was very much needed and I have naproxen on prescription else I would not have even been able to get dressed do my makeup and leave the house yesterday.
This is just a little reminder to all females out there to go easy on yourselves especially around the time of the month. Nobody likes a cranky moaning bitch at the best of times so when itโs your time, take time out and chillax ya batty haha itโs important for your mental health as well as physical to rest. Donโt feel guilty for doing it and if you have a partner explain to them you need some time out for yourself get them to look after the kids for a bit or just give you some personal space. Speak up and donโt suffer in silence โ๐ผ๐ฉธ

Female hormone issues are something we donโt learn about in school/education and as with any health condition unless you suffer with something you donโt really know much about it or how to live and treat it.
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2017 by a private endocrinologist after YEARS of issues with my periods, mood swings, acne, weight gain, unwanted hair growth, oh the list is endless! Itโs something I have under control now which I will discuss in a future post but for now Iโm sharing this unflattering selfie of me today on day 2 of my cycle sprawled out bloated, with back ache, tummy ache, intermittent o***y pains, low energy, heavy flow, swollen and sore b***s, lethargic, half a stone weight gain and continuous hunger. Luckily Iโm pretty chilled out and not stressed after a busy productive week and am able to work from home, so been between the bed, bath and kitchen mostly today! Hopefully Iโll feel a bit better and be able to get out and do some exercise tomorrow because that helps ease the symptoms too especially headaches and period cramps ๐ฒ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
I think itโs important to normalise these symptoms and discussions because we are human. It really is hard being a woman we should get more credit really with all the changes our body endures with hormones and imbalances throughout our life time. Also we should normalise doing nothing because we push ourselves a lot whether career driven and/or busy with kids. Rest is super important to help create peace, balance and a greater sense of well-being. I definitely feel like Iโm bossin the self care routine better now even if it has taken me to my thirties to figure this all out ๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ๐

Last Sunday in London ๐ฝ
I had a beautiful brunch at in Bayswater close to my accommodation in Kensington Gardens. Not only was the food super fresh and prepared delicately, fit for a Queen like me ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ the service was top notch. I felt completely looked after and was given so many choices and options to suit my dietary requirements.
Breakfast was smoked salmon and poached eggs on rye bread served with lovely little leaves and flowers and the coffee, Italian (my fave) was delightful too served to me in an iced latte with coconut milk (my fave)
I will definitely be revisiting here and Bayswater because wow, what a glorious little area close to Hyde Park and very safe indeed. As a woman travelling on my own around London I felt completely fine. Yes I am experienced as Iโve been visiting and working in and around London for over a decade now but that doesnโt mean the anxiety levels donโt rise in a new area and in the capital city that Iโve sadly not been able to visit for 3 years now for various reasons.
Literally wish I was about to eat this for brunch now but I will have to make do with just poached eggs on gluten free toast without the trimmings โบ๏ธ
