This is honestly how I felt during my hysterectomy recovery
You've had major surgery, you're sent home and suddenly you're left trying to work out what you're supposed to be doing, what you should avoid, whether what you're feeling is normal and when you're going to feel like yourself again.
I remember feeling like there was so much I didn't know, and I had to figure a lot of it out myself.
And from the conversations I've had with other women, I know I'm not the only one who's felt this way.
We deserve better information, better support and to know who to turn to when we have questions.
This is one of the reasons I created Rayse. A place where we can share our experiences, learn from each other and feel a little less alone through the things nobody really prepares us for.
Because you shouldn't have to navigate recovery on your own. 🩷

The brain is a very iron hungry organ - not only can it make anxiety worse but also can impact your motivation, focus and brains ability to handle stress.
For optimal brain health apparently we need iron levels of 70+ - I can’t wait to see what I can do this point!

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, why don't I feel like ME anymore?
Your body changes, your mood changes, your confidence takes a hit, your libido disappears, you're exhausted. You can be getting on with everyday life on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside.
And it's so hard to explain to someone who hasn't experienced it.
I've learnt so much from the women in Rayse, and one of the biggest things is how reassuring it is to know you're not the only one feeling this way.
Sometimes you don't need someone to fix you. You just need someone who understands.
You deserve to feel heard, understood and a little less alone. 🩷

I find “in range” SO frustrating! Just because your blood test results fall within a reference range doesn't mean you should ignore how you're actually feeling.
I've learnt SO much from the women in this community. From asking better questions to advocating for ourselves, sharing experiences and realising we're not alone in what we're going through.
I'm so grateful for what Rayse has taught me, and I want other women to have that same opportunity to learn, feel supported and find their voice.
We're all navigating this roller coaster we call life, and sometimes you just need women around you who get it.
That's why I created Rayse. 🩷
