If there was one thing I’d change about the aesthetics industry...

It would be for us to be a little kinder to each other.

Over the years I’ve had my fair share of criticism, trolling and unnecessary comments.

Some from medics.

Some from non-medics.

And after enough years in the industry, you learn not to let it affect you too much.

But not everybody is at that stage.

What about the practitioner who’s just starting out?

The one who’s already struggling with confidence.

The one who’s questioning whether they’re good enough.

The reality is we’ve all been there at some point.

Here’s something I genuinely believe:

Someone else’s success doesn’t reduce your chances of success.

Someone building a successful clinic doesn’t stop you building yours.

Someone getting bookings doesn’t stop you getting bookings.

You don’t need to pull somebody else down to lift yourself up.

This industry is at its best when we share knowledge, support one another and celebrate each other’s successes.

There is enough room for all of us to do well.

Behind every profile picture is a real person.

Let’s remember that.

Let’s support each other a little more.

The industry would be a much better place for it

🛡️ What actually is the CCP Network?

Because it isn’t just another WhatsApp group.

It isn’t a subscription that just gives you a logo for your Instagram bio.

And it definitely isn’t a one-day course that you complete and never think about again.

The CCP™ Network was created because complications education shouldn’t stop when the training day ends.

It’s a community of practitioners committed to:

✔️ Patient Safety
✔️ Preparedness
✔️ Continuous Learning
✔️ Raising Standards Across Our Industry

As a CCP Member you’ll receive:

🏅 Official CCP™ designation and digital badge
🌍 Listing on the upcoming CCP Practitioner Directory
📚 Access to our constantly evolving online complications platform
💬 24/7 practitioner support community
🎓 Monthly live webinars
📖 New protocols, guidelines and resources as they become available

Most importantly...

You’ll become part of a growing network of practitioners who understand that being a good injector isn’t just about producing beautiful results.

It’s about knowing exactly what to do when things don’t go to plan.

The CCP Network is exclusively available to practitioners who have completed The Dr Lord Approach Complications Masterclass — either online or in person.

Because patient safety isn’t a destination.

It’s an ongoing commitment.

🛡️ Patient Safety • Preparedness • Excellence

One of the biggest misconceptions about Botulinum Toxin treatment is that it’s designed to freeze your face.

It isn’t.

Every consultation starts with a conversation about your goals, your anatomy and what a natural result looks like for you.

I also remind every patient that tox is just one part of a much bigger picture.

Healthy skin, good skincare, SPF, collagen support and lifestyle all contribute to how we age.

The best results are never about one treatment.

They’re about having the right strategy.

What’s the biggest myth you’ve heard about toxin?

The UK is in a heatwave. You’re perimenopausal. And you haven’t slept properly in days.

This isn’t in your head — and it’s not just the weather.

Hot flushes and high temperatures both work against your body’s ability to drop its core temperature before sleep. That’s the biology. And that’s why generic sleep advice often doesn’t cut it for women in perimenopause or menopause.

Here’s what the evidence actually supports. Swipe to see all 10 tips — and save this for tonight.

🌡️ Cool shower before bed — and let the water evaporate
🛏️ Switch to linen or moisture-wicking bedding
🪟 Close blinds during the day, open windows at night
❄️ Cool your pulse points (wrists, neck, ankles)
🚫 Avoid alcohol — it worsens hot flushes and fragments sleep
🍽️ Eat lighter, earlier in the evening
💊 Magnesium glycinate — worth considering if you’re over 40
⏰ Start your wind-down routine earlier than you think

No quick fixes. Just evidence-based habits that work with your biology, not against it.

If this helps, share it with someone who needs it tonight.

🚨 TOMORROW IS THE DAY.

For the past few years I’ve delivered complications training to practitioners across the UK through our in-person masterclasses.

But one thing I hear time and time again is:

”I’d love to do the course, but I can’t travel.”

”I can’t get the time off work.”

”The dates don’t work for me.”

So we’ve listened.

Tomorrow we launch the brand new Dr Lord Approach Online Complications Masterclass.

💻 100% Online
📚 7 Comprehensive Modules
🚨 Emergency Protocols
🧠 Clinical Frameworks
📖 Downloadable Resources

Study in your own time.

Study at your own pace.

And revisit the content whenever you need it.

Plus every enrolment includes 1 month FREE access to The Dr Lord Approach Complications Support Network (usually £29.99/month), including:

✔️ Online Portal
✔️ WhatsApp Community
✔️ Monthly Live Complications Webinars
✔️ Clinical Resources & Emergency Protocols

And if you’d like practical experience too, you’ll also have the option to attend one of our live simulation training days.

Because confidence in complications doesn’t come from hoping they never happen.

It comes from being prepared.

👇 COMMENT “COMPLICATIONS” below and I’ll make sure you’re one of the first to receive the launch details tomorrow.

One of the biggest myths in health and longevity is that you have to be perfect.

Perfect diet.
Perfect sleep.
Perfect supplements.
Perfect exercise routine.

The reality?

I still enjoy the occasional beer.

I still stay up late.

I still make poor food choices from time to time.

The difference is that these are the exception, not the rule.

Most of the time I prioritise:
✔ Sleep
✔ Exercise
✔ Good nutrition
✔ Hydration
✔ Recovery

Longevity isn’t about being perfect for 30 days.

It’s about being consistent for 30 years.

And that’s a much more sustainable way to live.

What’s one healthy habit you’ve managed to stay consistent with?

A trip down to London today to deliver my Complications Masterclass.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to .uk for hosting us.

Complications management is one of the most important — yet often under-taught — areas in aesthetics. Being a good injector isn’t just about technique. It’s about recognising complications early, knowing how to manage them safely, and having the confidence to act when things don’t go to plan.

Through , my aim is to raise standards, improve practitioner confidence, and share the knowledge I’ve gained through both medicine and aesthetics.

I hope everyone left feeling more prepared to recognise, prevent, and manage complications in clinical practice.

Education doesn’t stop when your foundation course ends.

It’s a lifelong commitment to better patient care.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion after a recent podcast clip where I spoke about early perimenopause, hormones, and lifestyle interventions.

Some people agreed.
Some didn’t.

But I stand by what I said.

Hormones can be life-changing. I prescribe them myself and have seen the huge positive impact they can have on women’s lives.

However… good medicine should never be reduced to “symptom = prescription.”

A clinician who ignores women and refuses treatment when it’s genuinely needed is dangerous.

But equally, a clinician who jumps straight to medication without looking at sleep, stress, nutrition, exercise, metabolic health, alcohol intake, muscle mass, or lifestyle foundations can also be doing patients a disservice.

Medicine is nuanced.
Healthcare is individual.

And women deserve more than extremes from either side.

I always explain it like building a house…

There’s little point decorating the house if the foundations underneath are unstable.

Hormones can be an incredible tool.
But foundations still matter.

This isn’t anti-HRT.
It’s pro holistic, evidence-based, individualised care.

And honestly, social media has made these conversations far too black and white.

You’re either labelled “anti-hormone” for mentioning lifestyle… or “reckless” for prescribing them.

The reality?
The best clinicians usually sit somewhere in the middle.

People often ask why I still work in the NHS.

The answer is simple.

It keeps me grounded in real medicine.

It sharpens judgement.

It reinforces standards that carry into everything I do — including aesthetics and longevity medicine.

When you’re making decisions that truly matter, there’s no room for shortcuts.

That experience doesn’t switch off when I leave the hospital.

And everything I do outside of it is better because of it.
