Go to the bathroom, pop in your contacts if you wear them, have a quick snack, and grab anything you’ll need before makeup starts. Once we’re in glam mode, you’ll want to stay put!

2. Eat, hydrate & have your favourite drink 🥐💧
A well-fed, hydrated bride is a happy bride! Wedding mornings fly by, so I always remind my brides to eat something and keep sipping water.

3. Let someone else handle the logistics 🤍
Give your phone to your maid of honour or a trusted bridesmaid, let them deal with the questions, and take this time to relax. This is one of the few moments you’ll get to slow down before the celebrations begin—and I want your makeup appointment to feel like a little pocket of calm.

Your only job? Sit back, relax, and let me take care of the rest. 💍✨

1. Makeup enhances—it doesn’t erase. I can’t Photoshop skin in real life, but I can create a beautiful, fresh, glowing version of you. Let’s work with your features, not against them.
2. Not every trend suits every face. Just because it looks amazing on TikTok doesn’t mean it’ll flatter your eye shape or features. My job is to create a look that complements you.
3. Trust the process.
When you’re halfway through your makeup, it might look a little strange—that’s completely normal! Wait until everything comes together before judging the final result.
4. Good makeup takes time. A soft glam or bridal look isn’t something that can be rushed. Giving me the time I need means you’ll get the beautiful, long-lasting finish you’re paying for.
5. Bring inspiration, not expectations. I love reference photos—they help me understand your vision. We’ll use them as inspiration while creating a look that’s perfect for your unique features.
6. Healthy skin makes the best canvas, The better your skin is cared for leading up to your appointment, the better your makeup will sit and last throughout the day.
7. I’m on your team. Everything I recommend is because I genuinely want you to look and feel your absolute best not because I’m trying to change your mind.

🤍 Brides-to-be — I’ve been a part of hundreds (and I mean HUNDREDS) of wedding mornings, so trust me when I say I know what can cause unnecessary stress and what can make your day run so much smoother.

I want you to have the calmest, most enjoyable wedding morning possible, so here are a few of my biggest tips:

💗 Don’t leave steaming your dress for the wedding morning. And definitely don’t have bridesmaids steaming dresses in the same room you’re getting ready in. 😂

Even a little bit of steam creates humidity, which can cause your hair to frizz and your makeup to break down. Plus, the last thing you want is water spots or a steamer splatter on your gown. Steam it the day before, fluff it out, and you’re good to go!

💗 Eat before hair and makeup starts.

I know you’ll be running on pure adrenaline, but you’ll feel so much better if you’ve had a proper meal beforehand. It’s much easier to relax and enjoy getting ready when you’re not trying to eat a sandwich between makeup touches.

And here’s another reason… if you don’t eat, everyone in the room is going to ask if you’ve eaten. 😂 It starts off sweet, but after the tenth person offering you cheese or a granola bar, it can get a little overwhelming.

💗 Pack a details box.

Your photographer will probably arrive early (the good ones always do!) and one of the first things they’ll ask for is your details.

Gather everything they’ll need into one bag or box the night before:
• Invitation suite
• Rings
• Shoes
• Jewelry
• Perfume
• Veil
• Garter
• Any sentimental items

Set it somewhere obvious so no one is running around searching for everything while you’re in the makeup chair.
