little announcement for those of you who don’t know! 🤍

i’d like to apologise to anybody i’ve had to reschedule over the past few weeks! now you know why 😆 the sickness has been a struggle but i’m starting to feel much more human again

i plan on continuing to take clients as long as i’m able! however i’ve adjusted my hours slightly- starting from 11:30 rather than 9:30 (mornings are the worst 🤢) and limiting how many clients i book in per day to avoid over exertion

i’m also unable to do any aromatherapy massage as essential oils aren’t all pregnancy safe, but other treatments remain unaffected

waxing & eye treatments ✨

due to popular demand & increasing my hours in the salon- i have restarted offering waxing & eyebrow services for clients!

package deals for multiple areas of waxing will be set accordingly, just message with any queries

if you are booking to get a brow/lash tint for the first time with me - a patch test will have to be carried out in the salon at least 48 hours prior to your appointment 🤍

I thought I’d share an updated ‘About Me‘ for anyone thinking of booking in with me 🤍

I started in the beauty industry when i was 14, working Saturdays for a beauty & massage therapist. I was totally inspired — and I knew it was the path I wanted to follow.

At 17, I moved away to college to study my beauty degree. I spent a year there before returning home due to covid. At 19, I moved away again to study massage & spa therapies. After another year of study, I graduated and began my spa therapist career.

After graduating, I worked full-time at Devona Spa for a year. It was an amazing experience — I had the chance to work with hundreds of clients and grow my skills.
But eventually, I started to feel homesick and decided to return home to Shetland in 2023.

I began renting my treatment room at Envi later that year, and since then, I’ve built an amazing client base and even formed some friendships through my work.

I chose this career because, like many others, I’ve faced my own challenges with mental health. Prioritizing self-care and wellness has made a huge difference in my life, and I wanted to share that same sense of calm and healing with others.

I know that coming in for a massage can feel quite daunting for some people. Please know that this is a completely judgment free space. I’m here to help you feel comfortable and cared for.
I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, backgrounds, body types, and abilities, and nothing fazes me.

During your treatment, there are no expectations. You’re welcome to just relax—rest quietly, drift into sleep, or speak to me if you’d like!

I’m sometimes asked whether I feel comfortable treating men. The answer is yes—of course. At Devona, roughly half of my clients were men, and it was just part of the everyday environment. Massage therapy is for everyone, and men deserve to take care of themselves too!

My aim is to offer a place where people can slow down, and find comfort when they need it. I’m so grateful for all of my clients so far, and I can’t wait to welcome more in the future! 🤍

after 2 years of doing massage part time at envi & 6 years of doing beauty on the side, now finally feels like the time to throw myself in fully & try to make a full time career doing what i love.

the uncertainty of not having a stable backup income is daunting- but i’m excited to see how it goes.

i’ve found it hard to fully focus on my business whilst having other jobs, but now shortly i’ll be able to finalise some new treatments i’ve been working on introducing & increase my advertisement.

i have decided to introduce a very small price increase to some treatments. i have been doing massage for 3 years now & have always kept my prices the same. this is a very minimal change but it will help me with rising costs & to be more in line with competitors 🤍

you may also notice that i’ve added 3 new treatments- hopi ear candles, crystal therapy facials & chakra balancing massages. these are not available to book yet, as i need to perfect my routines, but information & booking availability will be posted soon! 🤍

i find it hard to enforce my policies as i can totally sympathise with honest mistakes & genuine reasons for cancelling. however, being self-employed- i rely heavily on my client’s custom and usually am unable to fill last minute gaps, leaving me out of pocket
