Exciting News... We have been shortlisted for Social Enterprise of the Year at

Yesterday, Lerwick was buzzing. Today, it has taken a deep breath.

The harbour is calm once again, the water is gently rippling, and life has settled back into its familiar Shetland pace.

That’s exactly the feeling behind Chilled Oot. Soft coconut and creamy vanilla create a warm, comforting fragrance with subtle reminders of sun cream, sandy beaches and holidays where time seems to slow down.

Daryn and Lynn have been having a lot of fun wrapping and labelling our traditional hard bar soaps, ready to make their way to customers.

Made using all-natural ingredients and scented with the soft, floral notes of Heather, these bars are a firm favourite. Every soap is carefully finished by hand, with every label applied as part of the meaningful work our team does each day.

🔥 Safety first… smiles second! 😄

Today the team swapped soap making for a fire drill! It’s all part of making sure everyone knows exactly what to do in an emergency, helping keep our workplace safe for our participants, staff and visitors.

As you can see, there were plenty of smiles once everyone was safely outside! 👋
Well done to everyone for taking it seriously and working together so brilliantly. Now… back to making lovely Shetland toiletries! 🧼💜

📦✨ Another big order heading south from Shetland!

Kaylee-Ann and Ellie are busy preparing a trade order of our popular Chilled Oot Hand Wash.
From our production area above our shop in Lerwick, Shetland to workplaces across the UK, every bottle is carefully made, filled and packed by our fantastic team. Orders like this help create meaningful employment opportunities for adults with learning difficulties while sharing a little bit of Shetland with customers far and wide.

John and Leanna are busy producing Lodberrie Lotion for a trade order destined for London. From measuring and mixing to quality checks, every batch is made with care in our workshop.

We’re proud that our products not only showcase the best of Shetland, but also create meaningful employment and training opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.

There’s something special about a handmade soap that’s been crafted and wrapped with care. 💚

Today we’re shining a spotlight on one of our Supported Employees, Daryn, as he prepares our popular Shetland Seaweed Soap for the shelves.

Made with nourishing cocoa butter, coconut oil and sustainable palm oil, this refreshing bar is scented with spearmint and juniper essential oils for a clean, invigorating fragrance inspired by the sea and shorelines of Shetland. 🌊

Every bar purchased helps support meaningful work opportunities for adults with learning difficulties, making each soap a product with purpose.
