Valentine Voice Care

We believe getting help should be simpler, with someone qualified looking at your bigger picture. That is why we have created the Vocal Health Pathfinder.

You will answer a short set of questions ahead of an introductory call about your voice, health, and circumstances. Our Specialist Voice Speech and Language Therapist, Carolyn Allen, reviews your answers beforehand so your 15-minute call is fully maximised. You still have space to tell your unique story. The prep work just ensures Carolyn can fully listen and give you the most targeted, effective recommendations possible.

Afterwards, you receive a direct follow-up naming the exact practitioner you need, along with a link to book, online or in person in Lewes or Glasgow.

This new service will cost £35, and it is designed to do one thing: to make sure your first full appointment is the right appointment, and get you started as soon as possible on your bespoke vocal health journey.

We get you. We've got you.

Check out our upcoming online events over the next few months! These are excellent for all pro voice users - not just singers. 🤩

In Power Up Your Practice, the brilliant explores how to monitor your voice for changes, using SOVTEs and practical vocal exercises for building strength, stamina and also cooling down for optimal tissue recovery. If you're not sure what an SOVTE is, come along and find out!

I am offering two different times for my Guided Self Massage for the Voice workshop where you will learn the tools you need for maintaining and safely releasing your own voice in this fun, practical workshop. One of our previous participants said that she needed a little lie down afterwards to enjoy the post-massage glow - she fell asleep for four hours (at midday)! 🥰

In my new workshop Just Larynx, we will explore the anatomy of the larynx and learn moves to instantly release tightness, improve your vocal ease, and restore your natural vocal freedom.

3 years ago today I signed on the dotted line and we picked up the keys to our beautiful Lewes centre 😱

It has been a journey!

We love what we do, and are SO proud of what we have achieved as a collective over the past 3 years.

Supporting the industry, starting conversations and pushing for change. With some epic adventures along the way!

Thank you all for your continued support of VVC and for trusting us with your voices. It means the world.

Exciting things to come!

On, on 🙌🏻

We love this story because it reminds us how easily we inherit habits without ever questioning them.

Of course, this doesn't mean we should discount every idea from the past. Sometimes, old wisdom truly is the best wisdom, and tradition holds immense value. However, each person is different so we should remain curious about all advice; if something doesn't seem to be working for you, it's alright (or good, even) to ask questions. Approaching our technique with curiosity and observing what actually happens allows us to keep what works and shed what doesn't.

Keep asking why. After all, blindly following the old rules might just lead to a lot of wasted ham!
