The Barber Shop Lewes

Ciao for now, Vince
Our brilliant friend and all-round legend has moved home to Italy — chasing sunshine, espresso and that sweet artist life 🎨

We’ve known from the start he wouldn’t stay forever but that didn’t stop him becoming part of our little family — and a favourite among you all, so we are very happy to share…

He’ll be back!: 26th July – 4th August
Then every 6 weeks after that 👌

Book in early, you know he’ll fill up fast!

Grazie mille, Vince — and see you soon!

Easter weekend cut by Chloé for this cool chick 🐣

Chloe is back behind the chair after her maternity leave… head over to Booksy to find availability!

Thanks 📸

Oh hey world! 👋
For those asking after Chloé and her new baby, here’s little Louis saying hello 🥰

YO! 💥Minecraft man back in for some hair attention from Jon

BOY BAND VIBES 🤩 |

Oh it’s so good to be back 🙌 Thanks to all of our clients who have sat in our chairs and made these first few crazy weeks back so much fun 😊

Yippee! We’re back in business🕺🏻💃🏼

We cannot thank our clients enough for all the kind words over lockdown and for all the appointments already made, seeing your names pop up in the diary makes us so happy! 😊

There’s gonna be a lot of hair to deal with again when we reopen so when booking in with us...
✨If you think you might be in need of a longer appointment, have longer hair or are in need of a ‘post lockdown trim’ do please book the Restyle/Longer style service option so your stylist will have enough time!✨

Are you an experienced Hairstylist or barber qualified to NVQ 2 ?

We have vacancies in both our Lewes and Alfriston locations.

With a delightful location directly on the river, our Lewes salon is a friendly, recently refurbished and very popular shop, and having been established for over 10 years, we have a large client base already in place.
We are looking for talented and friendly barbers or hairstylists who demonstrate a passion for precision cutting, a commitment to client satisfaction and who are experienced in working in a busy salon.

Our second venue, Reformery Alfriston is at the heart of the beautiful medieval village and has already established itself as THE place to go to be reformed! We offer a fuller service menu here including colouring.

We have full-time positions up to 40 hours a week but are also happy to discuss 1 to 5 days a week. If you are restricted in the hours you can offer or have child care responsibilities, don’t be put off - if you can offer us a day or more we can accommodate you!

For a competent and experienced barber/stylist in a self-employed position, earnings can be expected to be between £100-£300+ per day.

An employed position can be discussed if preferred- we offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme- please see our careers page for alternative job postings.
