Sevanti Unity Yoga

Sevanti is the Founder & Director of Unity Studio, School & Retreats. She established her professional Training School of Yoga and Massage in 2000. Sevanti carefully wrote her own syllabus for the Yoga Teacher Training, Holistic Massage, Partner Yoga Teacher Training and Reiki courses, before fine tuning the delivery according to the high standards required by the very best validation bodies. Sevanti has also been running Yoga Retreats since 1998 in Turkey, Sweden, Thailand, Spain and the UK. Sevanti anchored her previously nomadic work from London, to Kent, and eventually to Brighton, teaching at various locations in the early days. She spent many years looking for the ideal venue, and in 2007 stumbled across her vision - the spacious 4 floored building with a garden, within a 20 minute walk of the City Centre. It had perfect potential, offering future possibilities for a vegetarian tea-room, a shop, treatment rooms and reception, in addition to the established lower ground floor studio. Sevanti set up the Unity Studio www.being-in-unity.com/ for her own courses in 2007, and recently changed the use of the building to be able to expand to offer a range of classes, workshops and trainings taught by other local teachers & practitioners in 2012. These courses include Thai Massage, Ayurvedic Massage, Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training, and Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology. She, along with others, still gives treatments, offers workshops and runs her diplomas & retreats. Sevanti has been teaching yoga, massage, healing, meditation and movement for over 15 years. She says of her studio, "I wanted to create a studio which feels nourishing, homely and welcoming. I have added plants, buddhas and attractive furnishings with a warm colour scheme to allow people to feel they are stepping into somewhere special and sacred; but also a space which is neutral, for a wide range of practices and approaches to health and well being. I have created a peaceful space outside in the sunny courtyard garden for summer, and opened up the open fire inside for winter days and nights.
