"Why do some clients heal perfectly after one session while others need more work? The answer is almost always the skin..."

One thing I always tell clients is that the first session is really about testing the water.
People often compare their healed results to someone else's, but the biggest variable in permanent makeup is always the skin. I can perform exactly the same treatment, using the same technique, on two different clients and get completely different healed results.

Factors that affect healed results include:
Skin type – Oily skin tends to push pigment out more quickly, while drier skin often retains pigment better.
Skin thickness – Thicker, more resilient skin can respond very differently to thinner, more delicate skin.
Sun damage and age – Mature or sun-damaged skin may heal less predictably and hold pigment differently.
Previous treatments or scar tissue – Existing trauma in the skin can affect pigment retention.
Immune response – Some people's bodies naturally break down and remove pigment more efficiently than others.
Lifestyle factors – Skincare products, exercise, sun exposure, smoking, medications, and overall health can all influence healing.
Aftercare – Even with perfect instructions, clients inevitably heal differently depending on how their skin responds during those first few weeks.
That's why the first appointment is often best viewed as a "test run." It gives valuable information about how that individual's skin accepts and retains pigment, allowing the second session to be tailored specifically to them for the best possible long-term result.
The good news? Everyone gets there in the end. Some people just arrive a little quicker than others!

The pre-draw is one of the most important parts of creating hyper-real eyebrows… and sometimes the part clients find the most surprising 👀
This stage isn’t simply to “show you the finished brow”. It’s my blueprint.
Every line, marking and direction helps me plan: • the flow of the brow • how each hairstroke will blend into your existing hair • where density, softness and movement need to sit • and how to create results so natural they almost disappear into your real brows
You’ll often see me using colours like black, red or white during mapping — colours that don’t exactly scream “natural brows” 😅 But they allow me to see the structure and flow clearly before I begin implanting delicate hairstrokes softly into the skin.
Hyper-real brows are not stamped on. They are carefully engineered, stroke by stroke, to work with YOUR natural growth pattern, bone structure and existing hair.
The goal is never “makeup brows”. The goal is brows that people can’t quite work out aren’t real.

The Pre Draw
Before any pigment even touches the skin, every hyper-real brow begins with an in-depth consultation and a completely bespoke pre-draw. This is where the magic really happens.
Mapping the face, studying natural hair growth, considering muscle movement, skin type, and how the brows will sit both at rest and in expression… every single detail is carefully planned. No stencils, no rushing – just precision, balance and artistry.
The pre-draw is your preview. It’s where we tweak, refine and perfect together, so you feel completely confident before we begin the tattoo process. WARNING - it will not realistic at this stage and will look bolder and thicker- even a bit scary but you need to imagine them lighter and more delicate. Pre- draws are done with a dark pencil on top of the skin. Ill be tattooing with a tip of a needle- so completely different medium.
Only once everything is just right and understood, do I start creating those ultra-fine, hyper-real hairstrokes – layering them carefully to mimic natural growth and build soft, believable density.

When brows change everything… but still look like you ✨
This lovely client came to me with a more unusual natural brow shape—very minimal at the fronts and a natural position that made the eyes feel slightly heavier.
Instead of simply “filling in” what was there, I carefully redesigned the shape to bring more balance to her features… lifting the overall look while still keeping everything soft, believable and completely in harmony with her face.
The secret to success is often in the planning and predraw. If the drawing looks great then the tattoo is even better.
