🏔️ MOUNT OLYMPUS CHARITY CHALLENGE – AN UPDATE ❤️

This isn't the update I was hoping to share, but I wanted to let everyone who has supported and sponsored me know what's happened.

As many of you know, I was due to climb Mount Olympus in Greece this weekend to raise money for the amazing children's charity Promise Dreams.

Despite developing some pain in my foot just before travelling, I was determined to go ahead with the challenge. I made the journey to Manchester, caught my flight to Greece and arrived in Thessaloniki, hoping things would improve.

Unfortunately, the pain became increasingly worse, to the point where I was struggling to walk properly. After a visit to hospital here in Greece, doctors suspected I was suffering from an acute attack of gout and prescribed medication.

As absolutely gutted as I am, attempting to climb a mountain in this condition simply wouldn't be safe or sensible.

But I want to make one thing very clear – this challenge is POSTPONED, not cancelled! 💪🏔️

I fully intend to return and complete the Mount Olympus climb once I've recovered. I'll announce a new date as soon as I've been able to rearrange everything.

To everyone who has donated, sponsored me, shared my posts or offered words of encouragement, I genuinely cannot thank you enough. Your support means the world to me.

Every penny raised will still go towards Promise Dreams, helping make a difference to the lives of seriously and terminally ill children.

I'm disappointed beyond words, especially after making it all the way to Greece, but sometimes things happen that are completely out of our control.

Mount Olympus isn't going anywhere, and neither is my determination to reach the summit! ❤️
