Today marks 10 years since Sim Barber joined Liberty Lincoln as my business partner, and what an incredible decade it has been.

Over the past ten years, he has been so much more than a business partner. He has been a best friend, confidant, sounding board, supporter, and one of the most trusted people in my life. Through every success, challenge, setback and achievement, he has stood beside me with unwavering loyalty, honesty and encouragement.

Sim is the epitome of a true gentleman; kind, dependable, respectful, hardworking and someone whose word can always be trusted. His integrity, patience and calm approach have helped guide Liberty Lincoln through countless milestones, and I am endlessly grateful for everything he has contributed.

Building a business is never just about bricks and mortar, it’s about the people who believe in your vision, support your dreams and help turn them into reality. Sim has done exactly that for the last decade.

As someone who works in skin every single day, I’m used to advising you on what to look out for.

But right now I’m also going through my own skin cancer treatment.

It’s something I’ve chosen to share, not for sympathy, but because it reinforces what I tell my clients every day:

Skin health always comes before aesthetics.

Not everything on the skin is “just a blemish”
Not everything can be treated cosmetically
And early detection really does matter

Even with experience, knowledge, and access to treatments, these things can still happen.

So this is your reminder to:
✔ Check your skin regularly
✔ Don’t ignore changes
✔ Wear your SPF (yes, even on dull days and in the winter months)
✔ Seek medical advice when something isn’t right

I’ll always be honest with you and if something needs medical attention, that comes first. Always.
