LET’S TALK MICRONEEDLING…

Microneedling is a treatment I really enjoy offering in clinic, and it’s something I get asked about quite a lot.

One of the reasons I love it is because we’re encouraging your skin to do what it naturally does best repair and renew itself.

As a nurse, I’m always conscious that it’s not just about how a treatment looks on the day. I want to understand your skin, what you’re hoping to improve and, most importantly, make sure the treatment is appropriate for you.

Microneedling creates tiny controlled channels in the skin, which triggers the skin’s natural healing response. This can encourage collagen and elastin production and, over time, help improve the overall quality of the skin.

It can be particularly helpful if you’re looking to improve:

✨ Fine lines and early signs of ageing
✨ Uneven skin texture
✨ The appearance of acne scarring
✨ Dull or tired-looking skin
✨ Skin firmness and elasticity
✨ Overall skin tone and glow

And something I always remind my clients about is aftercare.

Your skin has just had a treatment, so give it some love! 🤍

For the first few days, I want you to keep things simple. Follow the aftercare I give you, keep your skin hydrated, avoid picking or exfoliating and be extra careful with sun exposure. SPF is so important not just after microneedling, but as part of your everyday skincare routine.

You may have some redness, warmth or sensitivity afterwards, and this can be completely normal. I’ll always talk you through what to expect and make sure you know exactly how to look after your skin when you leave.

For me, good results aren’t just about what happens in the treatment room. The care you give your skin afterwards matters too.
