Good morning everyone 😃 apologies for the long post but I have a few wonderful people I’d like to thank for there hard work and dedication over the last 6 months the longest run we have had yet with our community cafe ☕️
today marks the end of that run as we wrap things up for another year with the coffee morning at trinity church ⛪️
this community initiative began in the winter of 2022 and has gone from a small idea to provide a free lunch to our own local community by using halls in local centres and churches to a much bigger idea that encompasses everything great about our community as not only is the cafe a place to get a warm meal but it’s now a place to connect with others a real home from home were you can meet with friends or maybe even make new ones 😊
I think when we began this project we had no idea how important it would be for so many just to have a place to go for company and in truth it’s now become less about the free lunch we provide and more about the fact it’s a warm comfortable space to connect with others within our community ❤️
I’m so so proud of what the cafe has become it’s truly been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever had the pleasure to be involved in , with that initiatives like these can’t happen without many other cogs and I’d like to personally like to thank firstly the local churches who go above and beyond every week Emmanuel Baptist Church Trinity Methodist Church Elmwood Presbyterian Church thank you so much for everything all of you guys both church leaders and volunteers alike make the cafe what it is ❤️
