When a hybrid has a little extra drama…

This client is blessed with so many natural lashes, so even a hybrid set naturally gives that fuller, almost Russian-volume finish.

We used a cat eye/squirrel lash map — building the length towards the outer eye, with the longest point just before the outer corner before dropping back down. This gives that gorgeous lifted, elongated effect without dragging the eye down.

Proof that the same lash set can look completely different on every client depending on their natural lashes.

I’ve been putting so much of myself into creating Booked, Boundaried & Unbothered. An idea that’s been sat on a shelf for waaaay too long!

This book has come from real experiences — the mistakes I’ve made, the situations I’ve overthought, the boundaries I wish I’d put in place sooner and the lessons I’ve had to learn along the way.

And I’m still learning. I still get things wrong, I still overthink situations and I still have moments where I wonder if I handled something the right way. I don’t think running a business ever reaches a point where you suddenly have it all figured out.

What I didn’t expect was how much writing this would help me too. I’ve been navigating some of my own business struggles while creating it, and putting everything into words has helped me look at things differently and realise just how much I’ve learned.

I want this to be the business best friend I wish I’d had — something you can reach for after a difficult client, a hard day or one of those moments where you’re questioning absolutely everything.

If sharing my experiences can help another tech avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made, feel more confident in their decisions or simply feel a little less alone in the harder parts of running a business, then every bit of heart I’ve poured into this will have been worth it.

Your nails aren’t meant to last forever 👀
