I have been a qualified nurse for 8yrs i am still in practice I currently work full time, but my mind has always wondered to beauty this is what has lead me to aesthetics I find being an aesthetics practictioner very rewarding as the results are instant in terms of making my client base happy with their result.
there are advantages of being an experienced nurse because if complications arises such as a rare complication known as anaphylaxis shock (severe allergic reaction) I would recognise this and use my emergency kit that I would have in stock at all times continually checking expiry dates, packaging is in good condition and unopened before use.
I would also offer free consultations prior to treatment to explain the procedure the client was looking to have, I would inform my client of the risks involved such as mild to moderate side effects this will also cover after care advice.
I have experience in aseptic techniques which means following the current procedure to reduce the risk of infection.
this may seem a negative approach towards aesthetics but I am a perfectionist and I believe this is best practice to cover all the basics to gain best results. 👄

Botox anti wrinkle injections 💉 mild pain 💉 botulinum toxin is licenced for the temporary improvement of moderate to servere vertical lines between the eyebrows (galabellar lines) and is injected into the skin to reduce these lines. the reason for clients wanting this treatment is because of the severity of there lines which has had an important psychological impact upon individuals.
the toxin temporarily weakens the muscles responsible for developing facial expression lines caused by muscle activity. static facial lines eg: sun damage will not usually respond to treatment with botulinum toxin as they are not caused by muscle activity.
treatment is not recommended if the client is pregnant.
after treatment with botox client should start to see an improvement within 2 to 3 days however the full effect can take up to 30 days the benefits of treatment usually lasts between 4 to 6 months but can vary depending on individual response.
the most common side effects of botox are: headache and injection reactions eg: redness swelling irritation rash itching discomfort stinging bruising and bleeding. normally these reactions are mild to moderate reversible and occur in the first week after treatment. there is also a small possibility of slight drooping of the eyelid or visual problems such as blurred vision.
if any symptoms last for more than 1 week or the client becomes concerned about any symptoms then they must inform practionioner.
