Microneedling for darker skin, done properly >>

A lot of people with darker Fitzpatrick skin types get told to avoid treatments like this because of the risk of pigmentation. But the issue isn’t the treatment, it’s how it’s done

When it’s done properly, microneedling is one of the best ways to stimulate collagen, improve texture, reduce scarring and overall skin quality, without disrupting the skin barrier or triggering unnecessary inflammation

It can also help improve pigmentation over time by supporting skin renewal and regulating how pigment is distributed, it just has to be done in a controlled way

With darker skin, everything comes down to how the treatment is performed. Depth, technique, and aftercare all matter. Too much inflammation is what increases the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, not the treatment itself
