Filler placement matters more than people realise 👀

When the lower face starts to look heavier, treating the fold or jowl directly isn’t automatically where I start ❌

I look at the face as a whole first. Depending on the individual anatomy, that might include the temporal region, zygomatic arch and lateral cheek, preauricular area, mandibular angle and jawline. These areas all contribute differently to facial structure, support and overall balance 🥰

Strategic treatment higher and more laterally can sometimes improve how the mid and lower face sits, soften the appearance of folds and jowling and mean that less product is needed directly in the area that first caught your eye.

And if that area still needs treating afterwards, then we treat it.

That’s why I don’t look at a line, fold or jowl in isolation. I look at what’s happening around it first ✨🫶🏼

Sometimes the best lip result means starting again ✨

In this case, the existing filler had moved beyond the lip border and into the wet border, there were multiple lumps, asymmetry, and the shape had become quite irregular. So the first step was to dissolve and let the lips settle properly before doing anything else.

Once we had a clean base again, we could rebuild the shape with better definition, cleaner borders and a more balanced result 👄

It takes a bit more patience than going straight into treatment but sometimes that reset is exactly what gives you the result you actually want ✔️
