People have asked how I’ve felt being back…

And honestly? Like I’ve never been away.

Over the two days we’ve had post-wedding and honeymoon chats, grief chats, baby chats, successful business chats, “my mum’s had a funny turn” chats and “I get married on Friday” chats.

We’ve laughed, put the world to rights and caught up on three months worth of life.

Oh… and we’ve done some hair too 🤣✂️

It’s reminded me that it’s never really just about the hair.

And that’s what I’ve missed most 🤍

Back to work tomorrow… already 😭✂️

How has maternity leave gone that fast?!

For the last 12 weeks my days have looked very different. Less foils, more bottles. Less clients, more cuddles 🥹💙

But tomorrow it’s time to dust the brushes off and head back into the salon.

Hair done ✔️
Equipment sorted ✔️
Bag packed ✔️
Clothes ready ✔️

Am I emotionally prepared? Absolutely not 🤣 But I can’t wait to catch up with everyone, hear what I’ve missed and all your news!!

Just a little reminder that I’ll now be working:

Night feeds don’t stop just because maternity leave does 😵‍💫😂

And just like that… maternity leave is *nearly* over 🥹✂️

It honestly feels like 5 minutes ago I was writing my maternity leave post and getting ready to meet our little boy… & now we’re here 🤯

I have had the best 10 weeks in our little baby bubble & I’m going to cherish every single second of the next 2 and a half weeks because life just flies by!!

Like anyone, I don’t want to leave him, but I have the absolute best looking after him & it means I get to come back to you lot for chats, catch ups & fresh hair ✂️

So in 18 days I’ll officially be returning to the salon from Saturday 13th June 🤍

Things will look a little different for me work wise as I’ve altered my working hours. On my return I’ll be doing 2 days a week. This may change in the future, but for now this works best for me & my family.

My working hours/days will now be:

Tuesday 12.30pm - 8.00pm

Saturday 9.00am - 4.30pm

Appointments are now OPEN and will be first come, first served ✨

I apologise for any inconvenience the changes may cause, but I’ve tried to choose my hours with everyone in mind.

Today was my last day in the salon before maternity leave and honestly I’ve left feeling beyond grateful 🤍

I’ve been completely spoilt with vouchers, money, gifts, cards, flowers, well wishes and even had little “last day” visits into the salon. I really didn’t expect it and it meant the world 🥹

To everyone who has sat in my chair, trusted me with their hair and shared all the chats, laughs and life updates along the way… especially over these past few months, thank you 🤍 Your patience and care have meant more than you know.

I haven’t just been spoilt on people’s last appointments or this past week, it’s been throughout this whole journey. My favourite snacks and drinks to keep me going 🥤🍫, cards, flowers and presents when I first announced… it’s been non-stop 🥹

Honestly it’s the people that make this job so special and I’ll always stand by that. I have gorgeous clients who have become the loveliest friends 🤍 I’ll never take any of you for granted.

But that said, it’s time for a little pause while we get ready to welcome our little one 👶🏼🤍
18 days until due date!

You’re all in safe hands with my gang, especially who’ll be shattered when I get back & will need 3 months off herself🤭🩷😅

✨ Maternity Leave Update ✨

I’ll be starting maternity leave in mid March, with my last day in the salon being Saturday 14th March🤞🏼
This means my availability for hair appointments over the coming weeks is very limited and will then be paused while I’m off (for a short three months 😉😆 just remember lockdown was much longer).

As some of you may know, we’ve had a little bit of extra monitoring since 20 weeks. At this point we’re unsure what things will look like after baby arrives and we’ll have a clearer idea next week, so I won’t be sharing a definite return date just yet as it could be subject to change.
Just keep an eye on here for updates and little glimpses of our new family life 🥹

As all of my clients know, I’ll always do my best to look after and accommodate you, but naturally I am having to slow down and avoid cramming my days, which does impact availability.

If you’re not yet booked in, please get in touch as soon as possible 📩 and I’ll see what I can do.

A year of early mornings, long days, busy weeks, quiet chats and everything in between.
A moment to pause, reflect, and say thank you properly ✨

My job isn’t just hairdressing.
It’s conversations, trust, laughs, life updates and the everyday check ins that mean more than people realise.

The latter part of this year has been a really special one for me, albeit a little hectic with everything coming at once 🫠🤣
But sharing such an exciting chapter and being met with nothing but warmth, excitement and genuine happiness has been so lovely.

The flexibility, the patience, the understanding.
Appointments moved, plans adjusted, all met with support and kindness that I would normally be celebrating for you, and instead you’ve been celebrating with me.

You sit in my chair and thank me for listening, but it’s never one way.
You’ve checked in, cared, and shared in this moment with me.
You’ve asked about my family and my special one that is sometimes too hard to talk about without choking, and for that I’m forever grateful ❤️™
I invest in your lives and it really does come right back tenfold.

As this year closes and the next one begins, things will look a little different.
There will be a shift in life, routine and working hours, and the one I’m most excited for but also a little nervous about.

When I’ve spoken it out loud, every single one of you has reassured me and said “it’s only hair”.
But to me, this chair relationship thing has been my baby and my priority for 15 years ✂️
So knowing I’m stepping into this next chapter feeling so supported makes it easier and even more exciting ✨

Thank you for trusting me with your hair, your time and parts of your life.
Your big days and important celebrations mean the world to me.
Year in, year out, I’ll never take it for granted.

Here’s to closing this chapter with gratitude, stepping into the next one with excitement, support and a lot of love, and raising a DC along the way ✨

And just like that… another year behind the chair is done ✂️

I am grateful – always – to each and every client, and I do try to make that known throughout the year. But I always take the opportunity at Christmas to reiterate it.

So I just want to say thank you to every client who’s sat in my chair this year – for the chats, the laughs, the vents, the trust, and the loyalty. You keep my days busy and my heart full, and I don’t take that for granted for a second.

I listen to you – I hear the highs and lows, the good and the bad. We laugh, we cry, we hug, we celebrate… but you all hear me back too. And this year has been no different, especially with my BIG news 🥹🥰

The last few weeks of Christmas madness have been a struggle at times, but I’ve absolutely loved seeing you all. You’ve had my best interests at heart, brought me supplies to keep me going, and made sure I was fed and watered before even starting your service – and that means more than you know.

I’m officially switching the dryer off and heading into Christmas / rest mode 🤩✨
I’ll be back in the salon on Friday 2nd January for four days, before heading off on a little R&R babymoon 🌙

Thank you for all the cards, tips and thoughtful presents – not just for me, but for Andrew and baby Ward too 🤍
The biggest thing for me, always, is the continued support and referrals for my little business and everything I’m building.

Waved and ready for the ‘legal’ “I do” 🤍✨
My lovely client had a small and stylish Liverpool wedding at the weekend before she heads off for her big destination day later this year 🇩🇴☀️

This part was supposed to be in November too… but about 5 weeks ago, Emma rang to say she was bringing it forward — and was there any slim chance I could do her hair, because she didn’t want to just go anywhere.
New date, new plan, new wedding booked 🗓️💍…and not one ounce of nerves. Maybe that’s how to do it?

She kept it effortlessly chic in a tailored tuxedo jumpsuit with soft, glossy waves — understated, elegant, and so her. She killed it! 😍

So special being a small part of someone’s big moments 🤍💫

Happy 50th to the ‘boss’ of O&O — our very own Mr Dramatic, Lee-O 😂😂
Hope you have the best birthday and celebrations! Stay cool and enjoy being centre of attention… oh wait, what’s new? 🤪

Gutted I can’t make it today, R Kid 😉 I’ll be singing (and crying my heart out) in Manchester instead 🤣

But roll on 2 weeks when we’ll carry on making it all about you on the Emerald Isle 🇮🇪☘️🍺 no doubt it’ll be carnage & chaos but we can’t wait for the CRAIC 🎉🎉🎉
