I bloody loved doing this set.

Products, technique, structure and all the little decisions that go into creating a set like this are exactly why I’ll never stop learning.

Simple doesn’t always mean easy. 💅🏻

A little repair, a little hard gel… and A LOT of chrome. ✨

One nail had broken and lost the length, so I used a little Acrygel to bring it back in line with the rest before building the set in hard gel.

I love these little repairs because they don't need to be complicated — just the right product, the right application and an understanding of what that particular nail needs.

And then obviously… we had to finish with the most beautiful chrome. 😍✨

I mean… LOOK at that shine. 💅🏻

These nails needed a little more than just a pretty colour… 👀

Most of the sidewalls were majorly missing, so the first job was rebuilding the structure and armouring them back into shape with hard gel using twentys scult and boost in a pot.

Sometimes the job isn't just about making the nails look pretty…

It's about understanding what you're working with and knowing how to bring the structure back safely.

Once that was sorted, we could get to the fun bit. 💚✨

A sparkly light green, a little foliage detail and we're done. 🌿

And this is exactly why I will always bang on about understanding the WHY, not just knowing the steps.

The finished set might look simple…

But there's a lot more going on underneath it. 💅🏻

What if your career actually fitted around your life?

Not the other way around.

One of the reasons I love this industry so much is that nails can become so much more than just a job.

They can become a career you build around your life.

Around the school run.

Around your family.

Around the things you actually want to have time for.

And yes, there's a LOT to learn before you get there.

But you don't need to have it all figured out on day one.

You need the right foundations, the right education and someone who doesn't leave you thinking...

“Right... what the hell do I do now?” 😂

That's something I've thought about A LOT while creating what I want my own education to look like.

Because learning the skill is only the beginning.

The confidence comes from actually understanding what you're doing.

And that's the bit I want to help with. 🤍

Powder blue + chrome will never get old 💙✨

But pretty nails are only part of the job.

What I love about nails like these is knowing why they work — the structure, the product choice, the application and the little details that make the finished set look effortless.

Because learning nails shouldn’t just be about copying what you see.

You should understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and how to troubleshoot when something doesn’t go to plan.

That’s exactly why I’m so passionate about teaching the way I do.

22 years in the industry, and I’m still learning. Still taking courses. Still refining my techniques.

And now I want my students to have the knowledge and support I wish every nail tech had from day one. 🤍

This is exactly why I encourage my clients to stick to their maintenance appointments.

Just look at the "before"...

✔️ Cuticles still hydrated
✔️ Nails still looking healthy
✔️ She returned within the correct maintenance window, so the structure of the builder gel was still balanced and supporting the natural nail.

That means I can safely maintain the set, keep the natural nails healthy and create another beautiful design without unnecessary damage or starting from scratch.
