Thinking about Lip Blush but still have questions?

Does it hurt? Will the colour be too bright? Can it make your lips look bigger? How long does it take to heal? And how long does it actually last?

These are some of the questions I hear all the time, so I’ve answered all five in this Reel.

One thing to remember, fresh Lip Blush is NOT healed Lip Blush. The colour you see immediately after treatment isn’t the finished result. The aim is a soft, natural enhancement that works with your lips, skin tone and features. 🤍

Clean doesn’t always mean clinical. 🧤

One of my biggest bugbears within the PMU industry is poor hygiene practice and the risk of cross contamination.

You can create beautiful work, but if you don’t understand how to prepare your workstation, protect your equipment and handle contaminated items correctly, you could be putting both yourself and your clients at risk.

These are the small but essential details that should form part of every beginner’s training, not something you’re left to figure out afterwards.

Being proud of yourself doesn’t mean you can’t be proud of somebody else too. 🤍

I’m confident, I’ve got a big personality and I’m proud of what I’ve built. I know that can come across differently on social media, where you don’t always hear someone’s tone or humour 😂

But if you know me, you know I champion other women, all the time. If you’ve smashed something, I’ll tell you. If I admire your work, I’ll support it. And if you’re confident and backing yourself, I love to see it!

It genuinely doesn’t matter to me who posted it. My confidence doesn’t take anything away from the admiration and respect I have for other people.

Being a PMU artist and educator, I get to celebrate other people’s progress as well as my own. Watching my students grow in confidence and build their businesses is something I’m genuinely proud of.

Not everyone shows support in the same way, and I’m learning not to read too much into that.

I can back myself and still clap for you. There’s room for everybody to win. 🤍

90s BROWS + MENOPAUSE… what a combination 😂🙋🏼‍♀️

If you grew up in the 90s, there’s a good chance you spent years plucking your brows within an inch of their lives. I know I did. 😂

Fast forward a few decades and then hormonal changes around menopause can also contribute to changes in our hair, including our brows becoming finer or less dense.

So if you’re looking in the mirror thinking “Where have my brows actually gone?”… you’re definitely not alone.

It’s one of the reasons I see so many women in their 40s, 50s and beyond wanting their brows back — not big, heavy or obviously tattooed brows, just natural definition and shape again.

And thankfully, we’ve come a LONG way from those pencil-thin 90s brows. 😂
