It’s been a tough season trying to keep my business going while also studying for my nursing degree.

From making sure clinic bills still get paid while I’m out on nursing placement for months at a time, to expensive machinery breaking down, and now this weekend our latest machine overheating on us.

Owning a business has really shown me that you’re not always on top of things. It can look calm on the surface, but underneath it often feels like a swan paddling desperately just to stay afloat.

I’ve come so close to throwing in the towel more than once. But I’m also deeply grateful.

To my friends, family, and my clients (many of whom have become like friends and family) — thank you. Your support has genuinely kept me going more times than you know.

Right now it’s hard, but I’m still here, still fighting for it, and still hopeful for what’s ahead.
