Dear Clients (Friends & Family),

Yesterday was my second day back at work this year, and unfortunately I had three last-minute cancellations.

I want to be very clear — this is never anyone’s fault. Life happens, emergencies come up, and these things are unavoidable. This message is absolutely not about pointing the finger at any one person.

However, as we move into this year, I do need to make a small but important change. With the continued cost of living increases, rising product costs, and the increase in absolutely everything I use to run the salon, I can no longer absorb the impact of missed appointments.

Because of this, with effect immediately from January 2026, I will be introducing a £25 charge for any missed appointment or for appointments cancelled within 24 hours’ notice.

So, in future, if you do need to cancel an appointment within 24 hours, I would kindly ask that the £25 is paid into the usual bank account you use for paying for your treatments. This helps to avoid any awkwardness and allows me to immediately look at finding you another suitable appointment.

Applying this fairly and consistently across the board will also help free up appointments and create more flexibility overall, meaning it should be easier for you to move or rearrange appointments when needed.

Please note, this policy does not apply to semi-permanent make-up, eyebrow tattooing, or micropigmentation treatments. These appointments are handled separately and require a deposit to be paid upfront, in line with the existing booking policy for those services.

I genuinely hate having to put this in place — you are all like friends and family to me — but I hope that by getting into a clear routine moving forward, this will benefit everyone.
