My Story so far........

Welcome to my page. My name is Amanda and I am basically self taught, however I have completed a bridal hair and make up course at West Lothian College.

So, a little about me. My life with make up/hair only really started a few years ago. When my daughters hair was long enough to put in a plait, I was hugely frustrated at my meagre attempt. Lots and lots of practice and even more practice brought about my love of hair ups, whilst my daughter grew her love of the basic ponytail. Make up has always been a passion of mine. I am THAT person who doesn't leave the house without a full face on! Again, with lots of practice I have become the make up artist I wanted to be. With every client, I feel I am getting better and better. Practice really does make perfect! My make up kit is full of high end products to high street brands. It all depends on the face Im working with. I love to create different pin’ups and curled looks. My creativity flows better if Im let loose.....however I am also pretty damn good when it comes to clients who know exactly what it is they want.

As the years have passed, I have grown in confidence and Id like to think skill too. My only flaw is my photography. I seriously cant get a good photograph of the make up/hair I do on others. Maybe thats my next course at college!

I love what I do, and I love meeting new people along the way. I have ‘regulars’ and I have ‘newbies’. All are welcome and I would like to think all are happy once they've received the very best from me.
