✨ 8 YEARS OF SALON LIFE ✨

Well… somehow I’ve managed to keep this little business alive for 8 whole years! 🎉💇‍♀️

There have been laughs, tears, questionable fringe choices and enough coffee consumed to keep me going until retirement. I honestly couldn’t have done it without all my amazing clients, friends and family who have supported me over the years. ❤️

To celebrate, here are 8 things I’ve learnt in 8 years of salon ownership…

1️⃣ Hairdressers are unofficial therapists. I know everyone’s life story… and a few secrets I’m taking to the grave. 🤐

2️⃣ “Just a trim” means something completely different to every single person. 😂

3️⃣ You can survive on caffeine, dry shampoo and sheer determination.

4️⃣ Nobody ever says, “Let’s go darker for summer” after two glasses of Prosecco. 🍾

5️⃣ Clients become friends, and that’s one of the best parts of the job. ❤️

6️⃣ There is no such thing as a quick colour correction. Ever. 😅

7️⃣ Running your own business means wearing approximately 37 different hats… stylist, cleaner, receptionist, social media manager, accountant and barista.☕️

8️⃣ The biggest lesson of all? Never take for granted the people who support you. Every appointment, recommendation, like, share and kind word has helped me get to this milestone, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you.

Thank you for keeping me busy, keeping me laughing and trusting me with your hair for the last 8 years. Here’s to many more years of chats, coffee, transformations and pretending I know exactly what “just take a bit off” means! 🥂✨

Truly hairdressing is the best job in the world. To be privileged & trusted to do your hair, hair you wear around every day is something I never take lightly.

Every haircut, every colour & even blowdries I put my heart and soul into it because I want everyone to feel their best. And seeing people stand a little taller, shine a bit brighter and even the little pouts in the mirror 💋(yes I see you) still gives me butterflies for a job I adore.

🚨 I T S O F F I C I A L 🚨

Apparently running a salon & holiday let just wasn’t crazy enough … so I’ve gone and added Hair Educator to the job title 🤯✨

I’m officially joining QUIF Hair as an educator and I couldn’t be more excited.

Before anyone panics YES, the salon is still very much staying exactly where it is . My clients are stuck with me. Sorry not sorry.

This just means alongside creating hair behind the chair, I’ll now also be teaching, sharing techniques, educating colour lines, helping other stylists grow their confidence, and doing what I love on an even bigger scale.

To be trusted to educate in an industry I care so much about is something I don’t take lightly… especially considering I still Google things like “how long to boil an egg” 🫠

But seriously this is such a huge milestone for me and something I’ve worked really hard towards. To every client who’s supported me, every stylist who’s cheered me on, and everyone who’s sat in my chair letting me try “just one more thing” over the years… thank you. You’ve all played a part in this.
