Careful, Progressive Foot Care

This elderly client presented with significant dry, thickened skin and overgrown, thickened nails.

During the first treatment, excess skin was carefully reduced and the nails gradually trimmed, filed and reduced. Care was taken not to file the thickened skin too aggressively, as excessive reduction can leave the underlying skin tender and sore.

The client already feels considerably more comfortable, with a noticeable improvement after just one appointment. ❤️

Ongoing treatment will continue gradually, prioritising comfort, skin integrity and healthy nail care.

What a difference careful, progressive foot care can make 👣

This elderly client presented with significantly overgrown, thickened and damaged toenails, alongside very dry, fragile skin and areas of discolouration.

Of particular concern, the skin had become attached/adhered to areas of the overgrown nail, meaning the nails could not simply be cut straight back. Extreme care was needed when clipping and reducing them to avoid damaging the underlying skin or causing further pain.

Treatment has therefore been carried out little by little over several appointments, carefully reducing and reshaping the nails while allowing the surrounding skin to recover.

These photographs show the progress from before treatment → 1st treatment → 2nd treatment, with a significant improvement already visible. ❤️

A continued treatment plan is in place to gradually improve the nails and skin further, while keeping this lovely client as comfortable as possible.

‼️‼️‼️Warning to other salons / beauty businesses ⚠️ ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Just a heads-up about a really disturbing phone call we’ve received from someone asking questions about spray tans and “belly button bars.”

The caller then progresses to asking increasingly intimate and inappropriate questions, in a distinctive husky voice. The nature of the conversation gave us serious concerns that the purpose of the call was not to make a genuine enquiry about treatments.

After Googling the number, it appears that a number of other salons have reported receiving very similar calls, involving the same type of intimate questioning.

The number that contacted us was **07453 *222.

I’m posting this simply to make other salon owners and staff aware, particularly as younger or lone members of staff could potentially answer these calls and find the conversation extremely uncomfortable.

If you receive a similar call, I’d suggest ending the conversation rather than engaging with the questions, blocking the number and keeping a record of the call.

Please share with anyone working in the beauty/salon industry who may need to be aware. It was a genuinely unsettling call.🙌

Before and After results for today’s client (reel to follow). The client was used to a high-density, heavily saturated brow. To achieve improved balance and dimension, a combined approach was used: microblading to recreate natural hair strokes and a 3F needle technique to enhance depth, layering, and pigment distribution. This method allowed for controlled density while maintaining a softer, more structured aesthetic outcome ❤️
