If you want The Skin Wizard glowing skin keep it simple.
Feed your skin from the inside and outside.
Great skin starts with what you eat not what you apply!
My simple great skin strategy is this
(1) skin food for gut health - eat the rainbow
(2) simple topical skincare cleanser / hydrate
(3) SPF
This balanced skin food simple meal platter here is literally what I just ate this evening, a strong combination for skin nourishment and gut health, because it brings together protein, fibre, healthy fats, antioxidants and plant compounds.
* Wild rice + black sesame: provides fibre to support digestion and the gut microbiome, plus B vitamins and minerals. Black sesame adds vitamin E, zinc, copper and antioxidant compounds that help protect cells from oxidative stress and support normal skin structure.
* Scrambled egg: rich in high-quality protein for skin repair and renewal, with biotin, selenium, vitamin A, vitamin D and choline. These nutrients support normal skin, antioxidant defences and cell function.
* Black beans + spring onion + cumin + oregano: black beans are high in fibre and resistant starch, helping beneficial gut bacteria produce short-chain fatty acids that support the intestinal lining. They also provide plant protein, iron, magnesium, folate and polyphenols. Spring onion contributes prebiotic fibres, while cumin and oregano add antioxidant plant compounds.
* Fresh tomatoes: a good source of vitamin C and lycopene. Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation, while lycopene is an antioxidant associated with protection from oxidative stress.
* Avocado: supplies monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, folate, potassium and fibre. Its healthy fats support the skin barrier and help your body absorb fat-soluble nutrients such as vitamins A, E and carotenoids.
Overall: this plate supports the gut–skin axis through a combination of diverse plant fibres, prebiotics, polyphenols and healthy fats, while protein, zinc, selenium, vitamins A, C and E provide nutrients important for normal skin renewal, collagen formation and antioxidant protection.
