The shop has been Barbering since 1850, and we are proud to say that we are still cutting hair and serving the community. Although Sampson's cuts is primarily a Barbers, we are also experienced in cutting ladies hair and children as well. We specialise in all types of hair including short hair, fades, graduations, flat tops, scissor cuts, long hair, afro hair, traditional face shaves, head shaves and beard shaping. This is not an exhaustive list; our motto is "If it grows, we cut it" so why don't you come along and try us! Sampson's cuts are proud to offer exceptional standards stating "We like to treat people as we would like to be treated. We don't cut corners, we cut hair." Sampson is 60 years old, going on 26! He has been a barber for 42 years, is passionate about his job and has always worked to the highest possible standard. Each and every customer is treated as a unique individual and he is committed to cutting and styling your hair exactly how you want it. Sampson is a family orientated man, who also has a great interest in Martial Arts. When he is not cutting hair, he is doing Judo. He is the current founder of the Judo For All UK Organisation (JFAUK) and holds the grade of 8th Dan so be prepared to pay!!!! We only do walk in, so no appointment system. As we are a traditional barber, we only accept cash payments.

Just a reminder that Sampson’s cuts will be closing for its annual summer break from Saturday 12th September- returning on the Monday 5th October.

Notice to All Loyal Customers of Sampson’s Cut
Dear Customers,
Please be advised that a new timetable for opening days and hours will now be in place.
After much consideration, Sampson has decided to reduce his working week and will no longer be working on Tuesdays. The shop will now operate on a four-day working week.
Opening Days:
• Monday 10am-6pm
• Thursday 10am-6pm
• Friday 10am-6pm
• Saturday 9am-6pm
Closed:
• Tuesday
• Wednesday
• Sunday
The shop will continue to open at its usual times; however, the closing time will now be 6:00 pm instead of 6:30 pm.
These changes are necessary as Sampson looks towards a slightly different direction in life after 45 years of dedicated service to the community.
Thank you for your continued loyalty, support, and understanding. It has been a privilege to serve you over the years, and I look forward to welcoming you to the shop during our new opening hours.

The shop will reopen as normal from Friday onwards.

Sampson’s Cuts
Now Open
Dear customers,
My sincere apologies — Samson’s Shop will remain closed today.
Unfortunately, I haven’t yet recovered from flu symptoms, and to avoid passing anything on to customers, I feel it’s best to stay closed for the day. I’m hopeful that everything will be back to normal from Monday.
I truly can’t apologise enough for the inconvenience. Being a one-person business makes days like this especially difficult, and I really appreciate your understanding and patience.

Sampson’s Cuts would like to inform our customers that the shop will be closed today, Friday the 6th, due to illness.
Sampson is currently under the weather with a heavy cold.
We aim to reopen tomorrow.

Heads up!
Sampson’s Cuts will be open until Christmas Eve, after which we will close and then reopen on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the lead-up to the New Year.
The shop will be closed on New Year’s Day and will reopen as normal on Friday, 2 January 2026.
