What I ate yesterday for weight loss and longevity 💖
1. Green juice
2. Blueberries and Mango
3. Oats with quinoa walnuts, hemps seeds, a brazil nut banana and date
4. Avocado on chickpea and lentil crackers with an apple
5. A big salad with lentils, mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, red cabbage, aubergine dip, red onion lemon pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds
6. Oats with banana cacao nibs and a date
I also had more crackers with aubergine dip some strawberries and a banana 😍

🍎Eating healthy, makes me feel so good now.
But when I was struggling with binge eating and overeating , there were times when eating healthy food and making healthy choices, made me feel anxious because I’d be without the foods that I was used to using to keep me calm and to make me feel safe.
⚖️I think this is why I struggled so much to lose weight when I would try to completely overhaul my diet, it didn’t work for me as someone who used food as a crutch. It was easier ito keep relying on the foods that were not necessarily optimal for my body, but kept my emotions comforted enough for me to be in a consistent calorie deficit and lose weight .
✨I know for a lot of people that doesn’t sound like a great way to lose weight but for those of us who struggle with emotional eating it’s a realistic and practical way to get to our goal.
🐛We have to chunk it down into small doable steps and what might sound to you like common sense eating, for us is way out of our comfort zone and totally unmanageable.
The more content I create, the more I realise that my story is unique and the experience that I have is very particular and that not everyone is going to relate to using food as an emotional support system (it’s a terrible one but it’s the one I was used to using) and I know there are other people out there who have done the same.
💪🏾I definitely lost weight in stages and have taken my health and fitness journey and broken it down into manageable chunks !
Step One: acknowledged that I eat nothing but crap food
Step Two: eat less of that crap food until I’m a weight that is healthier
Step Three: improve the quality of the food that I’m eating now that I can eat a lot more food during my maintenance phase.
This is a structure that I found work for me and I feel works for others too!!

HOW I WENT FROM 250lbs TO 150lbs IN JUST 12 MONTHS !
Three years ago I was binge eating almost every day and was struggling with my self esteem and body image. I felt like s**t!
It was bad, I was out of control and I felt so stuck. The problem was that I was trying to do everything at once. I wanted to be healthy and snatched but I just couldn’t seem to get there, no matter what I tried!
I knew I needed to change something because I was sick of living in a body that didn’t represent who I knew I truly was. I had survived way too much and made it through things others wouldn’t have so I refused to continue to sabotage my own life! I started small and kept getting better everyday!
Fast forward to today and I am now so much healthier in every way, I’m in love with going to the gym and staying active and I stick to my workout habits no matter what!
The best thing is that I no longer feel out of control of my food choices and to top it all off I’m now a size and feel confident in my body!
What’s the key lesson here?
The key lesson is that if you’re feeling like your weight is bringing you down and you don’t know where to turn, there’s always a way. You need to focus on three things to change.
1. Tracking your food intake (you cant change what you don’t count!)
2. Your self talk (you can’t hate yourself into the best version of you!)
3. Accountability (and I think this is the most important)

When I started this account I was about a month into my weight loss journey. I built a whole new identity for myself using this account and I’m so grateful. I made the choice to stop posting because I wanted to focus on my new musical journey but I miss it and I have struggled. Losing weight is a huge part of my story and I have come to see how important it is for me to accept how far I’ve come and keep going. I’m still amazed about how many people I have impacted through making the decision to change my life and I want to continue to do that! The main issue was me scrolling too much which is a discipline issue and we all know how you build discipline!! DO the s**t you don’t like to do as if you love to do it and don’t ever stop 💪🏾
