I can’t believe I did this. 🥹

I’ve been growing my hair since I was a little girl, and the journey has been a rollercoaster. From bum-length hair, to relaxed hair, to hair loss, back to waist length, and even building my very own business because of my hair.

Making the decision to let it go wasn’t easy, but I knew I needed to free myself from something that no longer felt like it was serving me.

So no… I’m not going through anything. I’m simply going through a beautiful transformation. ✨

I don’t regret my decision, but it was definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever chosen to do.

I’ll share more about why I made this decision and how I got here in time. But for now… let me introduce the new Kimmie. 💖

I had a teenager yesterday with traction alopecia caused by back-to-back braids.

The pressure of school and feeling like they have to look a certain way is going to be the reason many girls grow up with little to no edges… or worse, traction alopecia.

I don’t have all the answers because, truthfully, the best solution is to leave the hair alone. But I also understand that’s not always realistic in today’s generation.

Losing your own edges because of your choices is one thing, but your child losing theirs because of yours is another. That’s the harsh reality. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Almost blew up my engine today. What could have been a £5k job has turned into a £300 repair. What could have been a disaster on the motorway turned into me being safe and sound.

Problems will always arise, but God’s protection will always show up. 🙏
