In Ayurveda, fasting is never about “not eating.”
It is about eating less heavy, more mindful, more simple.

Your body doesn’t always need restriction.
It needs support.

And sometimes that support looks like khichdi, soups, and warm, light meals that give digestion space to recalibrate.

That’s where true cleansing begins—not in extremes, but in balance.

Nobody talks about this enough — if you’ve been finding more hair in the drain, on your brush, or all over your pillow, your hormones might be the reason. 🧬

Perimenopause causes estrogen and progesterone to drop, and that shift directly disrupts your hair growth cycle. As estrogen plummets, women experience increased androgen levels, which can trigger shedding, thinning, and a widening hair part. Up to a third of women experience hair loss during perimenopause — and as many as two-thirds deal with thinning or bald spots post-menopause. You are not imagining it. You are not alone.

The good news? Early treatment can help slow hair loss — from topical treatments and oral medications to changes in how you care for your hair. Knowing what’s happening inside your body is step one. 💪

Save this if you needed someone to finally say it out loud. ⬇️

Anxiety during perimenopause is real, it’s hormonal, and Ayurveda has been talking about it for thousands of years. 🍃
As oestrogen fluctuates, your brain’s calming chemicals — serotonin and GABA — take a hit. This isn’t just stress. This is your nervous system sending a signal. In Ayurveda, we call this a Vata imbalance — the wind energy in your body becoming ungrounded, erratic, and overwhelmed during the perimenopausal transition.
Racing thoughts at 2am. Heart palpitations out of nowhere. Feeling like you can’t catch your breath. Sound familiar? That’s aggravated Vata speaking.
The good news? Ayurveda doesn’t just manage symptoms — it works on the root. Daily Abhyanga with warm sesame oil, adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari, a consistent Dinacharya (daily routine), and warm nourishing foods can bring your nervous system back to stillness.
Perimenopause is not a disorder. It’s a doorway. Your body is asking for more rest, more warmth, more grounding — and Ayurveda has the tools to give you exactly that.
Save this if you’re in your 40s and your anxiety has felt different lately. You deserve answers, not just prescriptions. 🌿

“Am I too young to be in perimenopause?”

Modern perspective

Perimenopause can begin in the late 30s or early 40s for many women. Hormonal fluctuations, especially in estrogen and progesterone, may start years before menopause itself. Symptoms can include mood changes, poor sleep, irregular cycles, anxiety, and fatigue.

Ayurvedic perspective

Ayurveda sees this phase as a natural transition where Vata dosha gradually increases with age. If lifestyle stress, irregular routines, poor sleep, or overwork aggravate Vata earlier, symptoms may appear sooner.

Supportive advice
• Maintain a regular routine
• Prioritize nourishing warm foods
• Reduce overstimulation and excessive multitasking
• Include grounding practices like Abhyanga (oil massage), meditation, and proper rest

The active compound in turmeric, curcumin, was first isolated by French chemists Pierre Joseph Pelletier and Henri Vogel around 1815.
• In 1910, Polish scientists Miroslav Lampe and colleagues identified curcumin’s chemical structure as diferuloylmethane.
• Modern scientific interest in curcumin’s therapeutic potential expanded significantly during the 1970s, when early studies began examining its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties.
• During the 1980s and 1990s, research increasingly validated many traditional Ayurvedic applications described in classical texts such as the Sushruta Samhita, including wound healing, digestive support, and inflammation management.
• A landmark moment came in 1995, when the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research successfully challenged a US patent granted for turmeric’s wound-healing properties. India demonstrated that these uses had long existed in Ayurvedic literature, establishing an important legal precedent for protecting traditional knowledge.
