I genuinely didn’t know where to start with this correction.

This was the first time I had ever met this patient. She had booked in for jawline filler — not a correction.

I had to be honest, but kind. I needed to explain what I was seeing, gain her trust and, most importantly, get her to believe in my plan for restoration.

And honestly? That’s a hard skill.

Especially when the patient hasn’t walked through your door expecting to hear that the treatment they came in for isn’t the right place to start.

The previous filler placement had created significant heaviness and distortion through the lower face, and this was anything but a straightforward correction. The anatomy on the left was completely different to the right, making this a particularly complex case.

I started with a full dissolve — carefully removing the existing filler before even considering adding anything back in.

From there, it was about reassessing the anatomy, allowing the tissues to settle and being incredibly meticulous with every step.

Correction work can be far more technically demanding than creating the original result. It requires patience, precision, skill, a deep understanding of anatomy and sometimes, the discipline to know when not to inject.

The goal was never simply to add more filler.

It was to restore balance, structure and harmony — and bring her face back towards its natural proportions.

Because sometimes the best aesthetic treatment is the one you don’t do straight away.
