My intention is to offer a safe space with therapies supporting women to release, rest and reconnect with themselves (especially during challenging times).

Caesarean scar therapies and deep tissue/trigger point massage this week. The best feeling when clients say, ‘That was just what I needed’, ‘I feel so much lighter’, ‘I feel more open’, ‘I feel more connected’, and the one that made me laugh, ‘That was perfectly brutal, we should do more of that, I feel such a release!’ - (deep tissue/trigger point one I should add!)

Now a little of what I need with a lovely walk in the sun while waiting for the kids at dance.

Have a lovely weekend all x

P.s. anyone else loving this tune at the moment?!

Making time for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s the opposite! Take the little step, the little moment, the little action to look after yourself today in one small way. Say no, slow down, look up, eat slowly, (do the scar massage technique I’ve shown you!), whatever that small way might be, introduce it today and gradually build in more ways to look after yourself, enhancing your body and mind for a healthier, fitter and stronger you x

Caesarean, hip, hysterectomy, knee, whatever scar we are treating, I may use any one of these during our sessions.

- Colour tracker and ruler to check colour and length of your scar and assess for changes going forward
- Microfilament pen, a floppy plastic which we use to assess sensitivity and numbness on and around your scar
- Brush and soft ball, perhaps if you really don’t like the feel of being touched or you touching on/around your scar
- Silicone cup to work on lifting the tissue underneath the skin, creating more space for healing and easing tightness
- 6D Tape on/around your scar to also create more space between the tissues and aid with healing

All sessions are tailored to you, and where you are at in your healing process both physically and emotionally x

A lovely week of postnatal, holistic and caesarean scar therapy sessions.

Love supporting all my clients wherever they are in their journeys.

Now that September is in, think about what your mind and body needs. And if you’d like to book in a session with me, send me a DM. Have a great weekend x

Me, my sister and my Matilda are doing Shine Night Walk London next Saturday.

We have Matilda to thank for this who really wanted to do it and is disappointed that she can’t do more than 10K because of her age, so we’re seeing this as a good warm up for next year when we can go further!

So many of us are affected by cancer either ourselves or the people we love. We are so proud of our incredible Mum who showed so much courage, strength and grace throughout her treatment and our powerhouse of an Aunt who took it all in her stride. They now have the all clear and we are so grateful for that.

This walk also marks the introduction of oncology massage and oncology scar therapy which I will be offering soon. More details to come in my Autumn newsletter.

If you’re able to make a donation, however small, we would really appreciate it! And for every donation made, your name will be entered into a hat. The name that gets pulled out by Matilda once we’ve completed the walk will be given a mini tamanu balm TROPIC. This is fantastic for every member of the family as it can be used on insect bites, grazes, sore skin, dry skin, and what I use it for mainly; scars. The size also means it’s great for your bag and can be used anytime on the go!

Thank you so much; Hannah, Rebekah and Matilda # # #

And today another little bit of my heart breaks! The little guy in this picture being not so little any more as he starts his secondary school.

I’ll never be one to tell you to embrace every moment because the time goes so fast. What a way to put more pressure and guilt on mums, especially when we’re finding it really tough; be it sleepless nights, infant feeding, the toddler tantrums, SEN, the teenage years and beyond! Not to mention our own hormones and overthinking it all.

As our children get older, in some ways things get easier, and in others they don’t!

Wherever you are in your stage of life, (and especially after the summer holidays 😅), you’re doing your best and that’s all anyone and your children can ever ask for.

If you are in need of some time for your own well being, think about getting in touch. I’d love to support you x

MASCED accreditation complete. (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection)

Feeling grateful that there is another means of supporting you during your therapies with me.

And remember to wear sun protection daily!

Flag this to your family and friends and any other therapists who see people’s skin on a daily basis x

Urging everyone to download the Skcin app. This gives you information and the means to assess your skin and moles for any signs that might suggest you seek medical advice to check for skin cancer.

Downloading the app for free is easy. Go to app.skcin.org. Tap install and Add to Home Screen.

Spread the word to family and friends.

Your feelings around your birth and postnatal time are real and valid. No one has experienced them like you have. They cannot tell you how to feel about it, because they didn’t go through it the way you did.

If you or someone you love needs support after their experience, reach out.
