A lot of people think you need length to get neat, long lasting braids,but that’s not true when your braider knows what they’re doing.
With short hair, there’s no room to hide mistakes. Every part has to be clean. Every stitch has to be placed with intention. Every grip has to be controlled, not too tight, not too loose… just right.

This is what neat stitch braids on short hair are supposed to look like:

✔️ Even, defined stitches
✔️ No unnecessary tension
✔️ Smooth finish from root to tip
