Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, sometimes referred to as a Vampire or Dracula facial, involves taking a sample of your own blood (usually from your arm) and separating it in a machine called a centrifuge. The separated plasma which is the therapeutic serum we use, contains platelets and growth factors which stimulate skin regeneration and repair when injected back into your own skin.

👋Hello to all the lovely new followers we have had recently. For those who don’t know, Cranleigh Aesthetics is run by Dr Nicolas Green.

Nick’s background is Dentistry, and after qualifying from Liverpool University , he worked as a House officer at the University Dental Hospital before moving to Norfolk ,where he worked both in general practice, and at the James Paget Hospital as a MaxFax House officer.

From that point Nick moved to Surrey and purchased a Dental Practice in Cranleigh, and decided to concentrate on aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry , where he spent over a decade in the USA honing his skills and treating patients both at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute and at the University of Minnesota where he obtained a PGCert in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry.

This is where his interest in Aesthetic Medicine began. Initially he was routinely using Toxin to relax the jaw muscles and the muscles of the forehead, temples and around the eyes to reduce headaches, clenching and grinding which exacerbated jaw pain. At the same time, he also began using dermal fillers around the mouth, lips and chin to complement the smile makeovers he was undertaking to achieve a more balanced , harmonious result.

As a result of introducing facial aesthetics into the routine dental treatments , Cranleigh Aesthetics was formed. To further his aesthetic knowledge and to help develop as a clinician, Nick obtained an MSc in Aesthetic Medicine with distinction from Queen Mary University, Barts and the London, where currently he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecture in Aesthetic medicine. This has given Nick the opportunity to lecture in the UK and Europe and to meet the leading Clinicians in their fields from around the world.
