Most of my patients are completely new to aesthetic treatments- they have an idea that they want to try something but don’t know where to start. They often come in with the same fears including:
👉 Fear of looking fake/ unnatural
👉 Fear of selecting the wrong treatments
👉 Fear of discomfort during the procedure and downtime
👉 Fear of complications
👉 Fear of getting ‘carried away’
These are all completely valid! Which is why I really take the time during consultations to openly talk about your concerns and how we will address them. I get to know you as an individual and discuss the details of each treatment, to ensure what we are doing is right for you and you are fully informed. I also stay in touch after your treatments.

Patients are often surprised when I say ‘no’ to the treatment they’re interested in. Ultimately these are medical treatments, and it’s my role as a clinician to do what’s in your best interest.
I assess your skin, face and you as a whole person. This ensues that what we are doing is safe, right for you and you’ll actually benefit from it.
Reasons I may say no:
👉 Of course if there are medical contraindications, we won’t go ahead.
👉 If your expectations don’t match realistic results, you may be disappointed
👉 If you’re unsure, it’s a no for now. I welcome further questions and discussion about any doubts you have.
👉 Certain treatments require specific aftercare & downtime- we have to ensure this fits your lifestyle.
👉 If a treatment won’t truly benefit you, it’s not worth it. Every single treatment has a level of risk and side effects. Although we will discuss how likely these are to occur and what we’ll do if they do.
👉 If there is a more suitable alternative I will guide you to it, even if that means recommending somebody else. Also, sometimes the most suitable option is to just do nothing- not every area needs treating.
👉 And if it won’t look natural… we are not doing it!

This patient came to me concerned about his nose to mouth lines (nasolabial folds). These are a tricky area to treat and there is no one-size-fits-all.
For this gentleman, we identified that it was actually loss of volume in the midface contributing to the deeper nasolabial lines. Therefore using a combination of filler treatments in the cheek and the lines themselves, we achieved a subtle rejuvenation.
Especially with fillers, it’s essential to take a full face approach and assess each patient individually. Rather than treating a single area, often small amounts of fillers in multiple areas can create a more balanced look. And when filler is done correctly - you still look like you!

I used to feel a bit out of place in the world of aesthetics, where everyone appears so ‘polished’ and perfect. I felt I didn’t look the part as I’m not really into trends or beauty, and it took 3 years to really put myself out there.
But today at ACE 2026 reminded me that’s not what aesthetics is about. It’s not just about ‘looking good’. It’s not fashion and it’s not beauty. It’s medicine and anatomy. It’s making patients feel more confident about themselves. It’s understanding human connection, psychology and ethics - all things I absolutely love ❤️

This patient was concerned about her side profile and felt her chin looked set back. We used a small amount of dermal filler in the chin to gently restore and balance the lower face. Chin filler also helps to support and sharpen the jawline. I absolutely love this result for this patient.
