Two peacocks beneath a chhatri, lotus and vine work down to the fingertips, and hidden in the centre, the initials N and H. Finished with payal-style henna that feels like jewellery that never comes off. 🦚

Two peacocks. One love story. 🦚
A bride’s story, told in henna. On one palm, the couple under a jharokha arch. On the other, the gurudwara where they begin their life together.
Which moment would you want on your palms? 👇

Some brides don’t want a design. They want a story on their skin.
Every motif was chosen with meaning. Every line was placed by hand, and the detail is the part you’ll still be studying years from now. ✨

When she first sat with me on 22nd August, it was for her first wedding function: palms only, with her groom on one hand and herself, veiled, on the other. Just the two of them, looking at each other.
👉 Swipe to see how it grew from first function to wedding day.
Five days later, on 27th August, she came back for her main wedding. I topped up the palms so the stain stayed rich, then let the design grow up her arms:
✨ Peacocks framing the top of each arm
✨ A pair of royal elephants meeting in the middle
✨ Lotus borders and fine jaali leading back down to the portraits
The best part of this booking was building it in two chapters. The portraits she wore to her first function became the foundation for her full bridal look, so the design felt like one story from start to finish.
Somewhere in this design, their whole story is hidden. Can you find it? 🔍
She didn’t just want bridal henna. She wanted their love story written across her hands.
So we told it from the beginning:
✨ The proposal, one knee down, framed by old stone arches
✨ The varmala, her garland meeting his
✨ The pheras around the sacred fire, on the palm she’ll look at forever
✨ Royal elephants and a palace dome crowning both arms
✨ And a hand-drawn word search holding the words that mean the most to them
Every square of that grid was drawn by hand, one letter at a time.
Her initials on one palm. Her wedding date on the other. Hidden in plain sight. đź‘€

I didn’t just draw a bride’s hands. I drew her and him. 💛
Look at the arm — a bride and groom, face to face under a temple arch, the exact moment two families become one.
There’s something about a Punjabi mehndi that fills a room. The green, the gold, the laughter, the dhol somewhere in the background.
Full arms, floral cuffs, that dense detailed work I love losing myself in for hours. But look at her palms, a monogram in one, and her wedding date, 20.08.26, tucked into the other. So that on the morning she becomes a bride, she can look down and see the exact day her new life began. đź’›
Sikh bride or Punjabi mehndi lovers, tell me, would you hide your date or your initials?
The elephants at her wrists for prosperity and a blessed beginning. The twin peacocks facing each other, two souls, one story.
