Sorry for the radio silence… it has been a really busy year.
I’ve noticed some new followers have joined the family, so it is only right that I reintroduce myself…

Hello, I’m Uche Abuah (formally Marlene), I am the Head stylist and owner of Natural Gloe. I closed the doors to my salon before the onset of the pandemic, to focus on being a wife and mummy.

No one could have predicted the lows of last year, it was a trying time.
The lockdowns allowed for extensive reflection, which solidified my decision to slow down. I was giving my business the best of me, leaving myself and my young family with the rest of me. Not good!!!

Once everything reopened, we reopened to honour all our pre-booked appointments. Shortly after that, the doors to Natural Gloe were closed again for yet another lockdown.
It was at this point that my family and I fled to Nigeria for several months. Yet more time to reflect.
My spirit told me it was time to focus on my other passion, Acting!🎭
Since then, I’ve been auditioning a lot, worked on several films, commercials and even had the chance to grace the theatre stage again after 10 year of being “out of the game”.

As unfortunate as it is that I have been unavailable to you all, the decision to close was the best thing I did for my mental health and wellness, my spiritual growth and purpose, and a major plus for me reconnecting with my family.

With all of that said, my passion for Celebrating Curls will never die. I am back in the salon when I’m in London, now only working part-time. As my schedule is ever changing, and to avoid any disappointments, I can only release availability on a weekly basis, every Monday at www.naturalgloe.com . Hey Curl Friends,
long time, I hope you’re reading this in good health.
We are planning to reopen in the first week of May, prioritising those with existing deposits to begin with. Our online booking system is open for June bookings. Once we rebook our outstanding waiting list, we will release more availability in May where possible. Please rest assured, all deposits are safe and appointments will be honoured.
As always, we will be making sure to adhere to all the government's guidelines and safety measures. Our primary focus remains providing our clients with the best service as well as ensuring there is a safe space for all.
